Get the cool vista look without filling bill gate's pool!

I just installed this packet on my computer and I must say Vista "looks" really nice, and I'm glad that I didn't pay anything for it.

http://www.windowsxlive.net/

and download the vista transformation pack 6.0 (at your own risk).

I'm quite impressed with the look and feel of it. I have widgets/gadgets too but I'm more of a fan of a blank desktop - I like SEEING my wall paper!

Here are my screen shots!

P.S.
On cnet.com or news.com (same thing really), you can watch a video about this. It also has links to other less intrusive options for gagets

Nice. I'm going to try it out. I was using Windowblinds but once the free trial ran out, i didn't want to shell out 30 bucks.

Also, if you have an nvidia card, you can mimic the transparent windows effect by turning that option on in the graphics properties.

That's pretty sweet. Do those cool desktop applications (calendar, etc.) come with it?

Yeah you get gagdets if you want. Personally I like a clean desktop so I don't go for it.

It comes with new backgrounds too if your interested. Some are pretty good.

Does anyone says that Vista Aero Glass feature is cool ?

Then you will pee in your pants when you see Beryl in action, below a couple of screen shoots of my desktop.

A couple of videos of how the desktop interact with the user.

The only drawback is that runs in linux.

But dont worry Linux is free.
