dealer contacted

I figured they should have done that however, when i called them all he did is read from his manual & ask me to go to chanel 0 so now it looks like i'll have to go there (half hour drive) to pull the radio out & get the serial #, the point being that in order to establish service they (xm) need the radio's serial number, no other way!

Dumb question but is the XM radio code printed somehwere along with the factory stereo code that you get a copy of with your owners manuals? When we got our aftermarket kit we had a hard copy of the code.

code

i've not looked for the code in the owners manual since i first started with this issue (2 weeks ago) & you gus are probably right however, it came to me to do a reset by pulling the fuse off for 5-10 minutes, that did the trick, as soon as i replaced the fuse & turned on the ignition it requested the 4 digit security code & i was able to get chanel 0 & with it the XM radio code
thank you all for your input
