Here's a cool Firefox extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1937/

Tab Catalog
by SHIMODA Hiroshi

Shows thumbnail-style catalog of tabs. It will be shown for following contexts:

- press "F8" key
- both click (both left and right buttons are clicked together)
- mouseover on the toolbar button
- mouseover on the tab bar
- switching tabs by "Ctrl-Tab(Command-Tab)" shortcut
- switching tabs by wheel scrolling (a feature of All-In-One Gestures)

Thumbnails can be select with dragging or ctrl-click. You can close multiple tabs, related to selected thumbnails, at a time.

Works with:
Firefox 1.5 - 2.0.0.* ALL

Install now (25 KB)
Version 1.0.2006102403, released on Oct 23, 2006.
Version Notes

1.0.2006102403 notes:

* Fixed: User-defined shortcut key is saved correctly.
* Improved: Changed shortcut key will be available without firefox restarting.
* Fixed: Broken order of thumbnails for sorted by "most recently viewed" was solved.
* Modified: Preferences are rearranged.
* Improved: Thumnails are always shown inside the window.

Damn, 2.0 is so bad-ass. They even have a spell checker for text that you type into a text field like in the reply box of this thread. Misspelled words will be underlined in red. You just right-click the word and choose the correct spelling! Awesome!

Note that spell checker is built right into Firefox. It's not an add-on/extension!

I didn't even know v2 was coming out, but the funny thing was, I heard about the release this morning while reading news on CNet. So geeky...

Tab Catalog is sweet! It helps for when you have so many tabs open you don't know wtf is going on.

enjoy an already fast web browser, even faster.

Geek to Live: Top Firefox 2 config tweaks
TweakGuides Firefox 2 Tweak Guide

some good tweaks in the comment box in the 1st one as well..

set network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 8 as that is the maximum firefox caps out at.

I didn't even notice the spell check until this morning - that's a great feature. Have anyone noticed that web sites load up faster too? or is it just me :)

"Firefox 2.0: The Honda Civic of Web Browsers"

HAHA!

"[Mike] Beltzner, [from the Mozilla Foundation] only half in jest, compares the browser to a Honda Civic.

'It's sleek, efficient, and gets you there,' he says. 'But if you want to do more, it's really easy to trick out.'"
