Confused with my PDA.
Ok so first i dunno if it's called a PDA or palm pilot or w/e. It's a dell axim x50. I use it for navigation so i dunno what else it really does.
Anyways, sometimes if I turn the thing off, i guess it doesn't really turn off. Then the battery gets down low and completly shuts down the thing. I go to turn it back on and it's like it's the first time i've turned it on. I have to reinstall my navigation and what have you and it's a pain in the ass. No aparantly my cradle that I use to connect the thing to my computer has broken. The Axim is bluetooh capable. My question is if I get one of those cheap-o bluetooth receivers off e-bay that plus into the USB port on the computer, will that work? Can I sync my bluetooth to my computer with that? I'm thinkin about just saying f*ck it and putting it up on e-bay and buying a regular portable gps system. That's my last option though so any help would be appreciated. |

PDA is a general term. The term Pocket PC applies to those PDA's which run on Microsoft's OS, Palm PDAs run on the Palm OS (and there are a few other OS's for PDAs as well).
Your Dell Axim is a Pocket PC. Yes, you can use a cheap Blue tooth USB stick connected to the PC to sync the Pocket PC. You can also connect and browse the PC's content, and surf the web by proxy over the BT link (not sure if the axim has WiFi built in)
