Yes, you get yellowsn0w through Cydia, or Installer if you want.
Have to add the Repository first to find it.

You know, Manage > Sources > Edit > Add > Done.

haha yeah i just researched and did it, not that it really matters, im on ATT and before i sell my iphone ill restore it anyways before unlocking it again, but good to know what to do and if i unexpectedly want to go to tmobile haha.

im really only intrested in jailbreaking my iphone for more apps i dont need to unlock as i dont plan on selling it or anything like that and im already att&t carrier ,
so i need to download quickpwn on my PC but how do i load 2.2 software onto my iphone not even sure which one i have right now i think i have the most recent one

go to settings->general->about thats should show you your software version. to update to 2.2 connect to itunes and check for update
