All i do is press the green call button to answer the other incoming call.. Original call automatically goes on hold. End the new call and try to go back to origianl and cant hear or get the person to respond. Checked to see if hold is on and its not... Also im in tmo's strongest 3g areas according to their coverage map...

Hmmm... if the second person hangs up before you switch I think the first person stays on hold. You should be able to see by checking the buttons that pop up when you press menu. Hold will most likely still be lit (an area on that button is green). I've had this happen to me, but I've been able to get back to the other call fine by taking them off hold.

Oo... also make sure that when you answer the second call you're hitting the right button. One of them puts the other person on hold. The other... hangs up with the current person I think.

Can't remember exactly how its set up off the top of my head, but I think either of those should be able to help. If not, I'll try to remember the next time I get 2 calls.

yeah it makes no sense. When i try to switch back hold is not lit at all. I'll even engage hold and take it off to see if it does anythng and still doesnt work... I've had the phone since november so im pretty familiar with everything.

my wife gave our son a g1 for his birthday a week after it came out. i got to play with it for a little bit. only gripe i had was that to me, the phone seemed to lag a bit. not that bad but i think it would have gotten on my nerves if i had to use it every day. maybe not.

I'm awaiting a replacement G1 now. My earpiece amplifier blew so it creates quite a bit of static during a call.

So I wasn't the only one who had this problem. It drove me crazy. I would have to end it and call the person back.

you most likely have to do a factory reset.

How to factory reset your T-Mobile G1 | Google Android Blog
you will then be able to enter your google account and set it up the way you want it.
