assembly plate?

you really don't need to replace anything except for the brake pad.
remember to put brake lubricant where the pad contacts the caliper.

you will only need to bleed the brakes if you have disconnected the brake line.
if so you will need two people to complete the bleeding.
one person will pump brakes till it is firm, then HOLD the brake down.
another person will go and discharge the brake fluid where there is a 10mm extention on the caliper. and repeat till brakes are to par.

NOTE bleeding should not be done by amateurs, you risk brake malfunction resulting in loss of your brakes.

I replaced my rear rotors with Autozone stockers. Seems like they were less than $20 each and now they are brand new and shiny when you look through the spokes of the wheels. Why pay $20 to resurface when you can replace them for $40? Especially when the ceramic pads cost $50+ for Durabrand gold. It is nice to have everything brand new and ready for a [1] hour installation vs getting halfway through and running to a shop to get them turned.
My stock pads tore the snot out of my rotors. Seems like the stock rotors wore out faster than the pads.
80k+ before I needed them but I run all desolate highway miles on cruise control.

It's actually my rears that are at the end of their life. The fronts still have plenty of pad.

I'll bet 90% of my miles have been put on the car without braking at all.

Just changed my front pads. First time changing pads in my life. Was a piece of cake. Very straight forward, simple mod. I used a C clamp with no problems what so ever...

Was it really that easy? I don't know if I should go about doing it myself. LoL.

I installed my own SRI and Coils. Is this any harder? and how long did it take?

Anyone care to elaborate on doing the rear brakes? I saw someone mention that you have to disconnect the parking brake and the compression tool is a must for the caliper. Anything else to consider?

Am I to assume I can just remove the eyelet on the end of the e-brake cable from the hook attached to the brake?

like stealth said, it's a peice of cake. all you gotta do is take the front wheels off, unscrew a screw on the caliper, flip up the caliper, replace the pads, flip it back down, screw it back on, then put your wheels back on. check the DIY...it shows you step by step with pictures <===(lol i just wanted to use that smiley)

I just ordered new rotors for the front wheels yesterday, and I'm going to pick them up tomorrow. I'm going to pick up new pads while I'm at it, any opinions on whether the Hawk HPS are any good or any other alternatives would be appreciated.

EBC= brake dustttttttt. guess im going to get in the zone (autozone) and grab some duralast golds since they dont stock the ceramic cmaxx's for fg1s. they offer lifetime warranty so when they need to be replaced again I can just bring them back and get a brand new set for free.
