Progress Rear Sway on Si

Thanks WIN Motorsports for the hook up on the sway
Some of the parts that come with the bar are only used on non-Si's
Instructions that come with bar are only for non-Si's

I found it easier to just take the end links off still attatched to the stock bar

This was a very easy install and so far I am pleased with the results.
I hope these pics are helpful as I wasn't trying to create another write up. I just hadn't seen any really good pictures on this job.

Good job!

What is the advantage of the aftermarket sway bar? It looks very similar to the OEM.

If it improves handling, I might get one too!

Hey Red... would you consider selling the Si sway? Been thinking about putting one in my EX to firm it up a little. PM me if you'd consider it.

Nice DIY by the way.

Thanks a million for the pics ... the instructions and pics from the manufacturer are horrible. I would have been guessing on which direction to install it - your pics helped alot.

I just installed my Progress rear sway today. After comparing the pictures in the 1st page of this thread to what mine looks like. I've noticed that there are a few extra pieces of hardware that came with my Progress rear sway bar that were not used in the installation. Please see the picture below... I've circled the parts that I did not use for the installation. Does anyone know why? I bought this recently and I was told that this sway bar fits all 2006-2007 civic (SIs, non-SIs, coupe and sedan). My assumption is that these parts are only useful if you are installing it on the other civic models. Can someone please verify my assumption? Thanks!

BTW I used the factory bolts that held up the stock sway bar instead of the bolts and nuts that came with the sway bar.

Yeah no worries man. Those pieces are for the civic sedan and coupe (Non SI). They are extra pieces so that the progress sway bar bolts up to where the smaller sway bar would have gone. You have no worries. I just kept mine in case I ever meet anyone with a non si that wants to install my si sway.

Sorry if I'm not being clear. I did use the metal plates, they sit between the chassis and the rear sway bar bushing. But if you look at the 1st page of this thread, you will see that redISblinking has installed his w/o the metal plate. I just want to know if I need that extra piece of hardware or not.
