You need an allen wrench set (since I don't remember the size), a torque wrench (to torque it to 32 lbs at the end? I forgot), and couple of other wrench to break it loose (don't remember their size, just have 2 sets). Probably a can of freeze it type of thing to get the nut loose.
Sorry I don't remember the sizes though. |

oh, and best to do it on a ramp. So your wheels are loaded, and you'll have enough space under the back of the car to do it. Can get a pair of ramps at autozone or something for about 40 bucks, great tools for doing stuff under the car. My car is too low to drive on to it from the front... so sad...

OK...so I have all of the parts listed on page 5 of this forum...I will be installing this sunday..but have a couple of questions:
1) If using ramps to raise the car...then the suspension is "loaded" and no need to worry about that part, right? 2) Has anyone been putting any grease on these bushings for the new rsb? 3) How do you know if you have the new rsb the right way or upside down? 4) Is the popping that everyone is talking about caused by not re-tightening the bolts after driving on the new rsb for a while? Thanks again for all of your input... |

2. Yes 3. Remember how the stock one came off. In the middle of the bar, see where the point point's to. 4. Mine popped cause I didn't load the suspension. I re-did it the proper way and things are great. |

Nope, but make sure you grease that bitch very good.
Lube up the bushing itself and also on the bar and leave a nice layer. That way you wont get a squeaky sound and have to re-do it again. I really want to find someone here locally without a bar and take a ride in it. From what I can remember the Civic was pretty stiff compared to most cars but did roll just a bit. With the bar the car feel like you dont have springs at all which is awesome! |

SI RSB is now installed...there is a lot less body roll now and definitely less understeer...it feels more confident in the corners...drives more like a rear wheel drive car..which is what I am used to driving. The easiest and best $65 suspension upgrade that I know of. So, now I am wondering about the Si FSB? Will that make it drive even better, or will it just re-introduce the understeer? Read somewhere that fsb would help stability at highway speeds...anyone have any opinions on Si fsb... In the spring of '08, I plan on installing eibach pro kit...maybe this will help handling even further... Thanks for your opinions guys...they helped tremendously...the parts list and tool list were dead on.. |

This is what I used on mine. Link. It's syn, and also works great on your brakes. I'm going to be putting on my front Si bar next week (it's sitting in the garage and killing me to look at it everyday). I put lots of it in the bushings and on the ends. My rear Si bar has been on for some time, and it's still quiet as can be.
Also, like was stated earlier, install it when the suspension is loaded, or you will have noise! Brian |

Front sway bar upgrade:
51300-SVB-A02 SPRING, FR. STABILIZER 51306-SVB-A01 BUSH, FR. STABILIZER HOLDER Just bought this from honda parts deals and installed...took it back out 'cause I didn't like the understeer that this fsb added back to the car... After saying that, if you are still interested in Si FSB...pm me, I have the sway bar and the bushings...all you need to install it... |

I just put an Si rsb on my lx. Someone said to make sure the U is pointing down, but mine is hitting the tailpipe. It was the only way I could get it on though, unless I am missing something. Can someone post a pic (either stock or Si) of what it is supposed to look like? Thanks.
