Full Coilover Install......Tips/Tricks Please

I've been pretty busy with work and have not had much time to put my suspension and wheels on my car. I am thinking about doing the suspension on Friday night at 6:30 after I get off work. I'm up for working late into the night if I have to lol. I will have a friend helping me because I often get frustrated. I've done my past civics and my S2000s. Yet the rear on the FG2 is a different suspension setup as most of you all know.

So are there any GOOD DIY's for full coilover kits like the T1R Kit? I have seen what is in the DIY section, pretty good, just seeing if I can find anything pretty exact, I just feel a lot more comfortable with a nice DIY.

The ones I found were if you were doing just springs, one with coilovers but using parts off of the stock setup.

I'm pretty sure I wont need to compress anything with the T1R's.....I just take off the stock (leave everything together) and put in the T1R coils, not needing any parts from the OEM setups correct?

Threads with pics seem to get more replys!!! HA

Fronts:

Break loose the lug nuts
Put car on 2 jack stands
Remove Wheel
Open hood, remove the plastic cover which allows access to the 3 bolts at the top mount. (14mm)
Undo those nuts, and the 2 on the main shock body down below ( 17mm and 19mm needed)
Remove the brake line and ABS cable from the oem body.
Place jack under front arm, and support it so it doesnt fall out whilst removing oem shock.

Go in reverse to install new coilovers.

Rear:
Place rear on 2 jack stands
Remove wheels
Peel back trunk liner
Use a special wrench with a hole in the middle for an allen key to go through.
Place allen key in top of rear strut, and undo the nuts on the threads.
Undo the bolt at the bottom of the strut ( 14mm self locking)
Get someone to put a lot of weight on the rear hub, pushing down, whilst you pull the oem spring out.
Remove rear strut by undoing the camber arm from the hub if it won't come out on its own.
Set ride height how you think it should be on coilovers, repeat steps in reverse to install.

P.S - you will probably need to install this more than once to get the desired ride height.

Thanks man. I need pics too lol. So for the rears you have to take out the spring each time you want to adjust the height? What do you mean by you may have to install this more than once to get the right ride height.

Taking the stuff off isint really a problem, just putting the new suspension on with the top hats and all that is what im not 100% sure about. And how the rears go in and sit.

So it dosent look like I will need a spring compressor, because I will not have to take apart the OEM strut/spring assembly right?

Awseome. Is the top hat suppose to be tight or spin around before you put it on the car? One is tight and one spins freely. Havent got a chance to look at them to close yet.

Thanks guys! So on the rear it came like this..

And it goes like this on the car correct?
With the rubber on the bottom, followed by the spring, then the coilover height part and then the rubber?

Height adjustment is at the top. Crappy pics on my lunch break!

What's that mean lol. You really have to take out the rear spring just to adjust the height? Corner balancing will be a bitch then.

You can adjust height with the spring on, its just a bitch. You have one nut though, so I would think it would be much easier. Tein and Skunk2 have 2 nuts. Its hard to get both hand in there to play with the nuts.
