Wow, I've never seen brake dust on the body of the car haha What pads are you running? My Si gets alot of dust on the wheels but not on the body.

That is probably road tar, not brake dust, do you drive on newly paved roads paved with asphalt, that is most likely what is causing that, my ASM gets lots of brake dust but its stays on the rims not on the body of the car like that

Funny thing. I cleaned it off this morning, went to work, and drove home. Getting out of my car, I noticed it was back again! All in a span of the drive home! Now the weird part is that it rained today.. so as I go to wipe it off, it starts to smudge like oil. I took some pics. I'm guessing brake dust doesn't smudge when it gets wet?

So why is it just my car dammit? What the hell is this, and how do I make it stop? lol...
CARNUBA !!!!! there is this awesome spray on wax that some vender put on my car once, and it stopped fingerprints and brake dust from sticking. i never bought it though....

wish i did

brake dust doesnt smudge like oil. Plus, these are your rear wheels . I dont know what the brake bias is on our cars, but typically its around what? 70% braking in the front and 30 in the rear? So if anything , your front wheels would be doing this to the body, not the rear. I do find it odd that this is ONLY happening to the rear wheels. I really dont know what to tell you. It does, however, look a lot like road tar..

My LX sedan also has this. Not as bad though..... maybe it is but i have GG so it shows up in a different shade. But i notice every week when i wash it, there is more dirt in that area. It's not brake dust because i have drum brakes back there. My fronts dont have that kind of dirt.

I have no idea what it is and just accepted it as regular dirt.

It must be poop, do you have lots of animals/people defecating in the road in your area?

Well that is one of the most curious stains ive seen in a while. I'm guessing by your wheels you have an EX which means you have calipers in the rear. The only real thing that you can take from this is that it's the pads that are creating the dust. On my old car my brake dust would combine with grime from the road and it would become hella hard to get off. Your best bet would be to use carnnuba wax like someone said earlier or try a product called Simple Green. The Simple Green is really concentracted so dilute it first or else it will ruin your paint. After you use the simple stuff wax it and you should be fine. Either that or get some better brake pads.
