Koni Yellows HELP

I am planning to get koni yellows for my 07 si sedan. I was only able to see the part # of the application for si coupe on the koni site. Is the coupe application compatible with the sedan?

I'm not positive. but seeing as the sedan is a few inchs longer then the coupe i would say prob not. but your best bet is to ask Koni if they would fit.

THese aren't even out yet are they? Everybody's been waiting a year, and a day for the Yellows, and I figured I would have seen a 15 page thread about it if they were actually available.

The only way to get Koni yellows ATM is to use the Koni/RedShift design, as posted in their thread: Koni/Redshift Coilovers

Koni Yellows otherwise aren't yet available for our cars.

thanks everyone for your replies..

my current situation is that I have installed prokit with stock si struts where I am experiencing some noise problem while turning my steering wheel and so I am debating to go with HFP or just shocks... i guess tokico would be my only strut option at this time then....

We use Koni Sports from the front of a Corrado and the rear of a 2G Eclipse and it works brilliantly. Details are on our website here. 06 Civic Susp Packages We have them listed for sale and you can also save a little a few bucks as an 8thCivic.com by going through Excelerate Performance at Excelerate Performance or Excelerate Performance - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum .....although you'll have to ask for them because they aren't listed anywhere (other than the presale, which is over now).

Hope that helps!

Yes... they are NEON ORANGE!

The actual Koni part is not suppose to be an insert... however much inserts work, they are a comprimise and a pain to install for the "average jpe".... they were all Koni offered for my Subaru as well... and that was disappointing.

Koni abandoned the not insert idea. It will be an insert.

So it won't be a plug and play shock replacement?

Nope, Redshift's kit is though. I think the Koni Konis with have more compression damping than the Redshift though. This will cause a firmer ride but handle a little better. Redshift's Konis should ride better than stock.

That blows! Redshifts are 3x more expensive than what the Yellows are supposed to be.

RedShift/Koni Sport (Yellow)
Shock Set Only (front and rear, includes hardware)- 2006+ Honda Civic
$851

I copied and pasted this from their website, you ignorant fool. A set of OTS Koni Sports usually run about $700-$800 anyway, quite far from your 3x more expensive assumption.

Have a nice day.

^^^^Damn bro, no need to be such a douche. What, is your girl (or guy) screwing somebody else? No need to take it out on me.

I was quoting prices I read here a while ago:Koni/Redshift Coilovers. And yes, I understand there is an $800 option on that list.

Way to be a helpful, polite member of the 8th. No wonder so many people are getting fed up around here. I don't care how much freaking AutoX experience you've got, that dosen't give you the right to be a freaking asshole for no reason whatsoever. Now if I had screwed your fiance, I could understand that..."You ignorant fool".

I hate to buy into a stereotype, but your post totally encapsulates the entire Jersey "Guido" persona to a T. What an ass clown you must be in person. Is this what it looks like at one of your track days?

That's an unfortunate exchange. Trust me that honda93 (Tony) is easily one of the 10 nicest people I know in this world. I'm sure you would agree with me if we didn't have to communicate on boards like this. I'm sure of it.

:) Chris

Chris, you've been nothing but helpful over the many threads I've seen you post in, and I'm sure Guido is VERY nice to you since you guys both AutoX, and the fact that you help make really great car parts, ensures his constant ass kissery towards you.

I don't claim to be the most knowledgable person on the 8th, and I try to help people when I can, but what you will never see out of me on the 8th is the purposeful belittling of another member on here. When I first joined the 8th, I thought it was great that so many people helped each other on the site, and I have learned an amazing amount of things since joining. I'm very thankful to all the people who have added to my knowledge since becoming a member of this site.

What I don't understand though, are clowns like Mario Guido, who just chime in when they feel compelled to make somebody look dumb. I sure he's helped a few people out during his tenure here, but what if that had been my first post ? What if I was so humiliated by his casual words that I never logged on to the 8th again? It's statements like "You ignorant fool", that can dissuade people from pursuing intrests. Not me mind you, but possibly others.

Well you DID say that the Redshift suspension was 3x more expensive than the Koni, making them out to be insanely overpriced, and he proved you wrong. Get over it dude

I laughed when I read Honda93 post. I thought it was funny. Good scarcasm.

Mattsbobo, you were the one making a gross exgeration based on your inability compare suspensions, so Honda93 countered with a gross experation of his own. You know, fight fire with fire. I thought guys were supposed to make fun of each other, it helps thicken the skin. In other words, lighten up. "If you take life to seriously, you'll never get out alive."
