where to buy?
Hi everyone. I'm a total newb at all this, so please go easy on me.
I've read the stickies, and have done some research, but still have a few questions. I have an 06 civic EX coupe, and wanted to know if many of the lowering kits suggested here are applicable to the EX, and not just the Si. I plan on getting either Tein S techs or Sportslines, a rear camber kit, and front bolts. Will the front bolts suffice, or will I need to get a front camber kit? I was going to adjust the front and read to the stickies specification that highrev1 suggested. Could someone please suggest brands and websites for ordering... Or is it better to purchase from shops? I have no clue on any of this. Please advise! Thanks! Last edited by sithi; 05-05-2008 at 06:17 PM. |

Do I need to find a suspension kit designed specifically for the 06 EX coupe, or will the Si kits work for me? Any particular websites that I should look at? |

^as long as they are just spring than the spring can fit... If u go to the eibach web site u see that all civic 2006 and up have the same part number for the sportline no matter if its an ex, lx, dx or si... check it out...

Awesome! Are you running a rear camber kit or front bolts, too? If so, what brand and how much did you spend? |

I'd really like to spend the least amount of money that I can, as funds are short But, I still want to do it right. I'm finding it difficult to get good pricing.. skunk2 camber kits are going for 250 on ebay.. and the sportline suspension is roughly ~200. I've read quotes for less, and can't find any! |

as far as the front if u want to adjust it that negative then yes u will need the bolts... but I wouldnt recomemded plus with the sportlines ur car will handle like a race car why would u want to hurt ur performance... |

for ur front tires the camber is between -0.5 to 0.5 factory specs... if u go too negative in the front u wont have enough tire contact on the road and u will start to loose performance... thats why when u go with a wider tire u get better performance cuz u have more tire making contact with the road...
besides is the back that u need abit more negative so u wont looses control... remember are cars are FWD... the rear is -0.5 to -2.3 factory specs... |

I will most likely get it professionally installed, unless some of my more car savvy friends can offer their help. |

But, I guess I will opt for the sportlines. I'm located in Southern California. |
