T1R B Max Coilovers!

Just got my T1R B Max Coilovers yesterday. After waiting about a year for the Koni Yellows to come out, they still havent come out, so I ended up waiting for these.

There a 46mm piston monotube design. 36 way compression and rebound adjustable. The spring rates are F.8k R.6k.....so I might switch them out for some Swift springs later on. Has the front camber adjusting uppermounts for negative camber adjustments up to -5 degrees (don't have a clue on how to adjust that.)

Ha yeah they look crazy! They will go well with my Mag Blue's......once they come! Yup there is not one letter of english on there. Yet it shouldent be to much different than any other coilover setup for the FG2. Plus I'm sure T1R could always help out with install questions!

It's actually not hard at all bud. Just remember what you take off. and remember to put it back on.

just put the bucket spring in first then put the bolt through the mounting point in the rear strut and you're all set, you shouldnt need to undo the sway bar, unless you have a progress one.

Just push down on the rear arm to get the oem spring out

youll love them..
just make sure your dampening adjustment works though... we got one of my rears on and it wouldn't adjust.. they sent replacement bodies, i just need to install them.
the fronts went on no problem, but for the backs i was definitely glad i had access to a lift..

Oooooooooooohhhh a sparkly.

Once you get it on the car, you will see how the front adjust camber. Undo the bolts on the plate, slide the top of the strut towards the center of the car for negative camber, slide it away for positive camber.

Don't go to low. The front suspension geometry doesn't like more than 1.5in.

Sould be plenty smooth on the streets with 8k/6k f/r

Yeah the camber seems easy enough. Guess I will figure it out! I think I'll want to go stiffer, my last GC and Yellow setup was much stiffer, felt great on the track and street!

Thats more a product of the dampers than the springs. "JDM" suspension tuning uses lots of damping to make up for "softer" springs. They have smoother roads, so they can get away with it.

Blah, Koni took forever, so I thought why not give these a try. Our roads don't really suck here. There not great but not horrid. I think I'll wait till I get the Tranny TSB done before I put these on.

Front lower tie rods go inverted causeing a lot of understeer. The roll center of the car moves up causing more body roll for a given amount of suspension travel. You lose suspension travel. Bump steer happens.
