Ok, much less roll. And for the first time I got squelling from the outside tires. I was trying to push it to the limit but not that far as my son was with me. :) It's really nice because I didn't like how much it would lean in that turn. I tested it on a on and off ramp that had a short 35 mph turn in it. I'm going to take it out some more tomorrow. Overall, this was a very simple mod and it feels good. Now I just need an exhaust.

Did you have a chance to experiment with just the rear versus front/rear combo set-ups?

Thanks

I sure didn't. I was so anxious to get them both on that the thought only entered my mind briefly. Really, I didn't have much time to myself during the install. I would had preferred to test both seperately. Oh well. :)

I'm interested to hear any further comments you have after you've had a chance to drive it a little bit more.

I'm taking 25 mph offramps at 40-50 mph and 55 mph freeway turns at 70-80 mph with no problems. Corners on the street like it's on rails. Rock solid all the way around. Loving it. The upsized wheels and tires help too, I think.

Yeah, my biggest concern at the moment will be the burning desire to get 17" rims and 225 tires.

Hey great write up. I have all the parts except for the SI L Brackets
52317-SVB-A01 BRACKET, R. RR. STABILIZER 1 x $3.02
52318-SVB-A01 BRACKET, L. RR. STABILIZER 1 x $3.02

Anyone know where else I can get these other than honda-accessories.com. Last time I ordered from them, they sent the wrong brackets and wont refund my money or do an exchange cuz it was under $20 . They seem like a good company but im giong to boycott them for messing up my order and not even exchaging it.

I agree. Never settle for poor service. You might try:

hondapartsdeals.com

http://www.collegehillshonda.com/

http://www.anythinghondaonline.com/

Or your local honda dealer and have them special order the parts.

Holy crap... a coworker and I were just talking about this. And what do you know... 1st visit to the Forum and I found what I was looking for!

I think this should be made a sticky! (If you guys do that on here)

Anyway, excellent write up and awesome info... I propbably won't be doing this mod just yet, but it will be a for sure thing after I get my HFP kit.

Great write up!!!

I did the rear a few months back and loved the results. I just ordered the front today so I'll repost after the install.

Just did my install yesterday for the SI front and rear sway bars and all I can say is DAMN!!! The car has almost no lean at all now and feel planted to the ground, however I'm still on the stock 16 ex wheels and the tires will definetly have to be upgraded. The stock tires try to grip but they just don't have stiff enough sidewalls or sticky enough rubber to do the job. The ride did get a bit firmer but nothing compared to putting lowering springs on. The wishy washy feeling the car use to have is competely gone.

Total install time took me 2 hours mostly because this was my first time doing the install of sways myself.

I did try installing just the rear sway and for me the ride sucked compared to having both bars installed. The car did handle nice with just the rear sway on but it is a night and day difference having both the front and rear bar installed. The car feels much more stable for me with both si bars on.

IVTEC thanks for this write up without your review of using both SI bars I prolly would have never had tried this upgrade.

Glad you like it! When you upgrade the tires/wheels, then you'll REALLY notice the improvement. It's a totally different car.

I got the Si wheels, since I wanted to stay somewhat stock. But I wish they were more like 17-18 pounds each instead of 23.5 pounds. I notice that it takes a bit longer to accelerate.

Wow interesting, glad I am seeing this to know whats out there for EX sedans or 06 civics in general.

Seems like a big difference from how you guys put it.

I know when I still had my Integra GSR and going from stock sway and front upper strut to a Type R's. It was a nice difference but you guys make this sound durastic! haha

I do have some questions...
Someone mentioned the front is heavier than the stock EX's. If so, by how much and did you feel a decrease in gas mileage or accerlation due to that? (proof?)
