From Eibach's website directly...

"Though with special progressive characteristic of the Pro-Kit, the damper is challenged more and usually makes it wear out faster."

The rear shocks will blow with in 200-1000 miles.. you wont feel it cause you drive it everyday...With the pro kits on stock springs i got 800 miles.. the the left rear shock was leaking. the fronts are fine but anyone who has a HFP kit will notice the rear shocks are 1" shorter.. thats for a reason... When you cut the bomp stops on the Pro Kit or any other aftermarket spring set up you will realize it will make the shock piston/shaft contact the top of the body and will distroy any stock rear shock in a matter of days.. I ran the HFP shocks with pro kit springs and loved it.. then swithed to the Progress spring and was in love.. then went with a progress rear swaybar, SPC rear and K-Mac front camber kits and mugen a arm bushings...with HighRev1's camber and a my own toe settings (1/8 out) ..well it was awsome.. So much so that I had lap times close to a evo around streets of willow... and I was on stock tires... the switched to Forglines on BFG R1's 245/40 17 front and 225/45 17 Rears...wit a little more ofset... and well it was crazy with only 200WHP...

^^I have had the sportlines on my HFP shocks for 3weeks... 2 days ago we took my front suspension out to trim down the bump stops, since I didnt do them when I first got the suspension... there was NO leaks or any damage cause by the sportlines after 3 weeks of use...

Now am just waiting for eibach to send me the 2 new sleeves for the back, so I be able to trim down the back bump stop...

Also eibach requires u to trim 40mm, which is 1.7inches... I didnt feel that was right and only did 1.4inches to still have enough bump stop in case I hit a big bump or dip... and ever since then my car drives SOOO MUCH BETTER!!! It feels completly like stock when I hit bumps... But in turns it feels like a race car...

Now I can actually feel when I hit a big bump the back hitting the bump stop really hard... cant wait to trim it down too... then I be all set...

was planning on getting sportlines, but never heard of trimming this "bump stop", wat exactly do you do when you perform this?

^u have to do on any lowering springs to give the suspension more tavel... since when u lower ur car the shock has less travel... by cutting down on the bump stop the shock has more travel... so it performs better...

right before u installed the spring take out the bump stop from u suspension, measured the amount it tells u on the instructions and cut away... put it all back together with ur new springs and ur all done...

the handling is a little better but the problem is it bounces a little. I lowered mine with H&R Sports! i want to get rid of them and just get the hfp factory to be honest with you! Its going to suck driving people in the rear seats your gonna scrape every second!!!!

lol well how much is the hfp lowering kit? is it the whole set of coilovers? cause i think those only lower you an inch whereas the stechs will do like 1.4 in the front and 1.3 in the back

You can find the HFP suspension on eBay pretty cheap. Shipping can run you a little more.

You're right, it doesn't lower the car as much as other springs would. It is just enough to notice a small difference. And I still have no problem with scraping the undercarriage or, worse, the lip.

The HFP is actually 0.8 drop... u can still fit 2 finger straight after the drop... where with s-techs or sportline u can only fit one finger straight...

if u go between the fender and tire on my car u can put ur finger straight... meaning u dont have to bent ur finger to fit it in between the tire and fender like some people do... on the back u can fit a finger and still have a bit of space left...

Ima try to get some new pics of my drop since is been a month n it settle...
