Alright, time to chime in. Lowering depends on several factors:
-Spring rate
-Rate of drop
-Durability/design of shocks

Stock shocks will definitely wear out faster than some aftermarket versions that are specifically designed for lowered/stiffer applications. If you drop more than 1.5", consider getting your bushings re-torqued to account for the lower full-time stance. Otherwise they might wear prematurely.

ive been on springs the 2nd day i bought the car. tein stechs... no problems what so ever.. and along with all my other cars.

there is a chance that they can/will ruin your struts prematurly but a pothole can also do the same damage.
so as far as ruining your CAR no...
all up to you brotha!

Don't feel bad dude. when I wanted springs, I did that same thing that you're doing, and I made myself paranoid for a minute. Then I just said screw it, and bought the springs, rear camber kit, and front camber bolts.

well i doubt if i put the Teins springs on their it will void my warrant becuae their is that law that protects the owners from having their warranty voided unless their is a problem cause by it like the Magnusson or whatever lol honda even said they will install it but it might be expensive

Get whatever springs you want for the drop and spring rate that you want and then later on go back and add struts. You could go with the konis.

If honda doesnt installed the HFP suspension u WILL loose the warrant on the HFP suspension ONLY... I had the same issues cuz I installed the HFP on my FA5 and when I took it to honda over a noise I was getting in the back of the suspension they wouldnt touch them cuz I installed them...

I'll be honest, I don't think you would have much problem with aftermarket springs.

But I just had the HFP kit installed and I feel like this Si just BECAME an Si. It's almost as if the car were really engineered for the sport suspension and 18" rims.

You'll be happy either way--this car looks better about one inch lower than stock. But I dished out $160 for installation last week on the HFP suspension.

i don't have stechs so I couldn't tell you. You should get it aligned and then see for yourself. Then, if you're not happy, get the camber kit and later on when you need new struts, get a good aftermarket setup.

Your suspension is a wear item. You just increase the rate at which it degrades when using only springs to lower the car. You won't wake up the next morning knowing your shocks and struts need to be replaced. It'll gradually happen over time and you'll get very accustomed to it. You'd probably notice an immediate difference when jumping back into a relatively new stock Si.
