Squeak from SPC camber kit?

Just installed my SPC kit last night and now I'm getting a slight squeak from the rear of my car. Just wondering if anyone else has the same thing or if I may have over tightened something? Was hard to fit a torque wrench on the cam bolt

Sounds like when you tightened the bolts you didn't do it under a load. I had that issue with my SPC install, so I took it to an alignment shop and it's no longer squeaking.

I have a slight squeek on my left side only during excessive down travel. This only happened after installation of my spc rear arms too. It has become less and less though over the past month. If anyone else has it and can pin down what is causing it please let us know.

could be ur car is dropped too low and is causing some stress.
or ur wheels are soo out of alignment that it's causing that squeek.

in my case it was both.
car was dropped too low, wheels were badly out of alignment...caused some stress on some parts, maybe camber kit, not sure where but it was squeaking when going slow or over a hump....

raised car up slightly...didn't align the car yet...but just raising it up slightly removed the squeaking completely. aligned the car after and no noises after 4000 miles or more.

the car is sensitive in the rear with the small sway bar and all and is easilly stressed back there...

if u have just springs then try getting an aligment, maybe that might get rid of it....

PS...i just installed the progress sway bar like 2 days ago, today it began to squeak!...no issue though, turns out the bushings weren't greased enough...for all those who are going to install, be sure to grease them a lot.

My car is only dropped with stechs (1.5") so the drop is not extreme and the squeek was not there when I drove the car for a week before the camber kit install I have had the car aligned so no issues there. Now that you mention your sway squeek I am going to try some grease on the outer pivot point/link and see what happens.
thank you sickyute

Just raised the car up and loosened off the bolts...put a jack under the control arm and re-tightened.

Squeak is gone!!! Goes to show that following directions is probably a good idea

Im having problems with the SPC camber kit squeeking. I have eibach sportlines springs. I have tried retighting the bolts with the suspension loaded and the car was alligned. I had the springs on for 2 weeks with no camber kits and no squeek. The sound is only comming from the rear left. Anyone else have this issue.

I had the same squeek from the SPC camber kit with the HFP (Honda Factory Performance) suspension on my 2006 Si.

I purchased two Specialty Products Company (SPC) Civic Adj Rear Arms for my 2006 Honda Civic Si from Comptech. I had these installed by my Honda dealership along with the Honda Factory Performance (HFP) suspension.

After installation (and alignment), the driver's side had an extremely loud squeak. The Honda technician determined the squeak was coming from the driver's side Adj Rear Arm.

From an on-car inspection, the Honda technician was unable to determine the exact problem with the Adj Rear Arm, so I purchased another Adj Rear Arm directly from SPC (UPS Next Day Air). I purchased the replacement Adj Rear Arm directly from SPC because Comptech was out of stock and was not expecting another shipment for several weeks.

After the Honda technician replaced the driver's side Adj Rear Arm we noticed that the squeak was greatly diminished. However, it still squeaked and you could now hear a squeak from the passenger side Adj Rear Arm (previously hidden by the much louder squeak coming from the driver's side).

The Honda technician inspected the Adj Rear Arm that had been removed and it was very evident that the inboard end of the arm had been rubbing against the boxed end of the mounting bracket.

There appears to be a manufacturing problem with one of the parts. The distance from the center of the inboard hole in the arm to the inboard end of the arm is too large, or the arm bolt hole in the bracket is too close to the inboard boxed end.

Thus the end of the arm rubs against the bracket.

The Honda technician used a dremel to very slightly reduce the outer radius of the inboard end of the Adj Rear Arm on the two original arms I purchased from Comptech. This alleviated the squeaking.

I returned the third rear arm and bracket to SPC for a refund. I also spoke with them on the phone and in an email to describe the problem. They said they would investigate the issue when they received my returned parts.

Everyone who is experiencing the squeek issue should contact SPC directly and let them know about the manufacturing problem still exists.

Good Luck.
