Opinions on Rotors
I want some slotted/ drilled rotors. I plan on switching pads, probably Hawks, and eventually getting new lines. I'm happy with the calipers and know enough that bigger brakes don't mean better stopping. I was thinking Brembo rotors, which I can't find on their website, because they are the name I know. But here is everyone's favorite part: I'd love to get some peoples opinions on the best rotors. (And/or links to the source for purchase.)
Feel free to comment on my pad choice too, or a good source for braided lines, but if you don't know why bigger brakes don't mean faster stops, or don't agree, let's start a new thread. |

I have EBC cross drilled slotted on my car, I love them. They are the pan head drilled so they don't actually go all of the way through the rotor. Braking is vastly improved and my wheels actually seem to stay cleaner. EBC pads are great to, Green Stuff pads are a pretty common pad for us street guys, they have good bite in and almost no warm up.

I know several people who have KVR pads and rotors. All of them are happy and have no complaints about their choice in KVR.

I work in the brake business and I've heard nightmare stories about EBC pads. Personally we sell Brembo and Power Slot and I would stand behind either of them and say they are the best on the market.
I ran Power Slots on my GSR only because I'm not a fan of the bronze colored Brembo Sport Rotors. Also an FYI; most major brake companies agree that cross drilling and slotting a rotor will decrease the life expectancy of the rotor and tends to have a much higher chance of warping due to the lack of material. Power Slot only sells rotors slotted or slotted and dimpled for the looks of cross drilled. Brembo sells there rotors in cross drilled or slotted but not both. Neither of these companies have released rotors for the new Si yet. |

Oh and one other brand, Rotora who I do believe offers rotors for the car right now is a decent brand. The only bad thing I've heard about the rotora rotors is that the hub has rusted. This is just what I've heard from friends, I have no first hand experience with them.

^^ yeah... front rotors are different... well not only the rotors... all parts from the knuckle to the pads....
but if you want some rotors for your EX... search for the RSX base models, both are the same i dont know if a BBK for the RSX (excl. Type S) will work in the EX |

Brembo Brakes
I spoke with a representative the other day and they have a 13inch Drilled Rotor / 4 piston Caliper (Red)with Braided hose kit available For an 2006 Civic Si . Not cheap $2300 for the front only . I am considering it because when Greddy releases their Turbo Kit I plan on installing on my Blk 06 Si .
Tomorrow I am installing my Progress 22mm Rear Sway bar . I will let you guys know how much of improvement there is .Also I am also changing out the horn to a Piaa Euro Sport Horn #85112 . My Girlfriend and I agree that stock horn sucks . Have a great weekend )
