Noise when braking

I have 06 Civic Coupe LX, and just before I come to a stop I have a noise coming from what sounds like the back wheels of my car. I think it has something to do with the brakes. The only thing I can describe it as is a knocking sound. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or if it is just normal? Should I take it back to the dealer to have them look at it? It's a somewhat faint sound....it is just bothering me.

It seems to happen everytime I brake to the point that I come to a stop. And yes I do have drums in the back.

before i got my EX, i test drove the LX... and i notice that the brakes at the rear were making a little bit of noise, maybe it is because that it is a drum brake i am guessing

I got a similar problem with my GG Ex, which have 4 disc brakes. I only hear the noise in the morning, I think it just rust build up and the way to clear it is to brake softly as you go. Well that what I do and it seem to work well.
