Some simple performance measuring of my new setup

In a nutshell:

I went to my buddies house today for the first time this year in the Si. The awesome part is that my favorite corner is on the way there. So I finally got a chance to test out my new setup and I'm very impressed.

I pulled 1.06 Gs with my new setup (not going excessively fast or racing ANYONE).

Stock on all seasons in the same corner my previous best was ~.87 Gs I believe.

Shattered my previous best in one shot. I think the HFP suspension was 110% worth it!

Wow that's nice.....they tested the Evo X and new STi and they only hit 1.09 I believe. You just made me love my HFP setup that much more!

edit: this is lateral G's correct?

hmm, i can calculate lateral and longitudal (sp? or is it even a word?) on my Avic-D3... maybe I shall try it out.

I was debating about getting the HFP suspension... so this info is greatly appreciated

Yeah man, I LOVE IT.

Not to mention my GF couldn't tell any difference in harshness (HUGE +1). It's really not much worse than stock, NOTHING like I was expecting. The handling however, is superb - I LOVE this car

I would reccomend the HFP suspension, Ingalls ETD, Vibrant RH and Reflash to anyone who wants there car to feel/perform like it should.

Oh man, the reflash is GREAT when you're driving spiritedly. Its hard to believe lowering the vtec engagement could make such a difference. It's not going to feel like a supercharger or anything, but it definitely removes that sluggish empty feeling the car has in the lower revs. It feels like a small displacement turbo car.

Sorry, they're kinda crappy pics and the driveway is uneven at the back wheels so it looks like there's a big gap. its actually much less than that. The front wheel is how it always looks. (also, it was only on the ground for a few hours in those pics. It will settle more.)

I love the HFP drop, its enough so that the car looks 'as it should' and isn't so low I have to worry EVERYWHERE I go.

Hey Koop, thanks for this thread, I just ordered the feathers with those tires today before reading this and I was a little worried they would not work well with the HFP suspension. But it looks like you aren't having any problems and your car looks sweet. Thanks dude!

Nice job but I'm thinking its more so the confidence gained from the HFP suspension that is causing the car to "handle better". A simple shock/spring combo w/ the same tires isn't going to give you that much better handling, its the fact that the car feels better w/ the setup that has made you get a higher lateral g. Before I even touch the suspension, I'm going to at least 3 track days, and my entire autocross season so I can really say in a factual manner that I have somewhat mastered my suspension. Then I'm gonna get some real coilovers, either T1R or BuddyClub, figured if I'm gonna mod might as well make it worthwile. HFP is a good confidence booster, makes the car feel better and maybe handle a little better but mostly a confidence booster. Race coilovers is where you'll start to see gains, not from HFP but w/ that aside good job, I don't doubt it actually helps but not to the degree as what you have mentioned.

Past experiences:

Previous Car: 2001 Mercedes SLK230 w/ H&R Springs and Bilstein shocks

When back to stock after 3 months and autocrossed it 5 times. Put on the shocks and springs, got an alignment and my times went up by 1 second which is significant @an autocross. Overall the car inspired a little more confidence but since I was used to the chassis in autocross settings, it wasn't that much better.
