Any Springs will fit?

Well.. my question is whether any type of springs will fit? Or does it have to specifically be Tein or the ones that 8thcivic sell? I don't really know much about them, and I'm not too interested in lowering my car but I want more handling and performance; I'm not too sure if there are springs that do that. And there aer many local tuning shops that sell springs, I just don't want to take the chance and buy them and have them not fit on the car...

So, will any springs fit?

Thanks, and sorry if this was asked before.

Or just Make and model?

Yes, make, model, trim and year. If you order some from somewhere and they don't ask you for that information, take your money elsewhere.

Tein, Eibach, Neuspeed, Comptech

I think those are the companies with springs out right now for our cars

You might get the impression that "any" spring will fit based on the folks around here using SI springs on their non-SI models. It works in the case of the 8th gen, but I don't know of any other cars it will work for

As far as I know all the springs out right now WILL lower the car. The exception would be coilovers which cost about $1200. But they are fully adjustable-ride height and firmness...

The HPF kit is probably the one that lowers the car the least (1 inch I think). The whole kit is like $690 and you can get it on here from College Hills Honda...Plus it's sort of stock...

yes - all will lower - HPF is the least. You need specific springs - yet some people have put SI springs on their coupes/sedans without problems. <-- All 2006 models

If money is a major issue you could just get springs (can't get HFP in that case because they come with shocks/struts) they will run you under 200 if you look around...I wouldn't really recommend it though...In my experience when you get springs you also want shocks/struts (preferably adjustable) as that way you can adjust if they are too stiff...However, maybe the Si is just fine with the stock shocks/struts...somebody chime in on this....
