just installed mine and im running into this problem. What type of washer am i suppose to get? Im not totally understanding this. When you say, skunk2 washers, what washers? I didnt get any washers from skunk2. all i have for the rears from them was the shock, bumpstop under the dust cover and the nut on top. This is really frustrating me

I'm trying to visualize these instructions but it's making absolutely no sense to me. Would someone care to elaborate on this? I just picked up a set of Si rear dampers so I don't have to butcher my original ones. Help!

Install and managing ride height about 1.5hrs to 2 hrs. No helms

damnu: Skunk2 didn't supply the washers you have to take the washers off your original rear struts, and install those.

FastTimes: The main goal is to free up the washer and use it on the Skunk2 set up, another option is to take the strut to Home Depot or Lowes and get a washer that matches and use that instead. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input, you wouldn't have another picture illustrating the "washer" to be removed from the OEM Si strut, would you?

Sorry, I do not. I didn't use the OEM washer, my shop was able to use one off a blown Skunk2 coilover........LOL.

Thanks for the pictures! Ok, here comes my dumb questions...

Am I identifying these parts right? Also, where are they on the Si rear strut?

Order of picture

1. The stock OEM washer on the top of the rear strut right below the nylon nut. The 2nd one is just a similiar size washer i picked up at ACE Hardware, sorry but i forgot what size it was, just go in with that OEM washer to match.

2. Yup Pro-S, the "rubber thing" are the OEM rubber bushings. One is below the car and one is above.

3. The "rubber thing" comes right off, its not attached in anyway but by friction. If you buy the washer from a hardware store, then you wont need to take off the "strut washer". In order to do that you need to drill out the dimple

and pull out the washer. I didnt have a drill with me, so i just bought the washer instead; its your call on which route you take.
