need help with drop

has anyone installed springs on their own???
if so did you use jack stands or what did you use to lift the car???
i just got some springs and was hoping to have them installed, but i havent been able to find any one to install them so i was just going to do it with a friend.
So i have a spring compressor and all the other tools but no lift stands and was curious is the jacks in hte trunk would work since i have access to mutliple ones?
any other pointers for a newb would be great also

thanks a ton

The sticky in this section has a step by step. You need a jack and stands to do this. You can buy a jack and jack stands at Autozone for $20. Here you go. step by step lowering an si 06
