need to get wheel alignment but when?

recently i noticed that i have an alignment problem and want to fix it soon but i'm thinking about putting new summer tires n rims on next weekend.
should i get wheel alignment after putting on new rims or doesn't any matter?

doesnt really matter unless you're getting a significantly wider tire

It is reccomended tto get a wheel alignment twice a year. Pot holes and such on the road will eventually misaligne your car. it is $50 well spent IMO.
