Caliper Talk

this discussion began in another thread, but i want to hear what more people think.

I spoke with a local shop and they said that they would install my HFP brake kit for $200 and powder coat each caliper for $50 as long as i had the seals.

BATANG CITY JAIL said that i could just buy after market calipers that work with the hfp rotors.

is this true and if it is could someone direct me to my options (calipers the will work with hfp slotted rotors).

would the $ be worth changing the calipers or is $50 per caliper reasonable to have powder coated?

i do not want to paint the calipers because i don't want to deal with chips/repainting, and i think that they are an eye soar as they come from the factory.

Any input would help, Thanks in advance

^ i was going to post "please just don't post brake options" but i didnt
i looked there before i started this thread. i couldn't find anything that would help me

it has big brake kit options, but can you just purchase the calipers only and at what cost?
also what caliper would fit?
i asked a specific question due to my car retardedness.
i did search, but unless my hand is held and walked through it i wouldn't know if the answer was sitting right in front of my face
so Sirbelch can you hold my hand

Right now I am not aware of any aftermarket multi-piston caliper option that will be direct replacement for the OE calipers ... EXCECPT perhaps Spoon ... whick makes a caliper for the RSX-TypeS ...

Aparently the RSX Type-S calipers bolt up to our knuckles ... if so then the Spoon caliper "SHOULD" bolt up.

The other option is to contact Brian Hasty at Fastbrakes ... he of anybody will know what might work
