Anyone running Tokico Dampers + Eibach Pro-Kit Springs? Opinions? Reviews?

Is anyone running the Tokico Shocks with Eibach Pro-kit springs? I heard the Tokico are just slightly stiffer than stock and "valved for lowering springs". How true is that? Would it be a safe pairing with the Eibach Pro-kit springs since the pro-kits are a safe 1" drop?

Opinions? reviews? Yay? Nay?

Yes that would be a perfect combination. Improved handling, firmer than stock but not stiff.

If you need a package price PM me.

^ appreciate your response but i need a honest-no-bull$h1t assessment from our fellow 8th gen members as well. if i were to run this setup, i would expect them to be slightly stiffer and better than HFP.

i've got the set up. i love the set up more now compared to having just the springs. the shocks are more firmer than stock shocks and it feels more soild when driving around.

i actually got this set slightly cheaper than the hfp suspension too...

Better than HFP? I highly, highly doubt that.

The Tokicos are $400 and the springs are $200+. You can get a HFP kit cheaper than that and have (I beleive) superior handling.

Its been said time and time again on here that Tokico Blues are just OEM replacements. In other words, you m ight as welll save $400 because you already have those same shocks/struts on your car.

I don't think there is a better option than the HFP (money-wise and performance-wise) out right now.

Hey now, Excelerate is a pretty non biased man. He only sells what he believes in.

It might be cheaper than the HFP by a few bucks but you aren't going to find better performance out of the Blues/Pro Kit combo. HFP was designed by the same people that made your car. Also, each HFP kit is tuned to the weight of the car whether that be a FG2, FA5, FG1, etc.

One of these might be a good idea also.Koni/Redshift Coilovers

my friend is running that setup. the car looks very nice. it is actually a little lower than other car with teh pro-kit (compared side by side). he says teh ride is rather stiff, but handles very well. definatly recommended.

I would really like to know if you change the springs in HFP kit if it will really blow the struts.....i work at honda so i would have no problem wit gettin new ones through warranty. i just want the handling and look all in one.....not coilovers

The springs rates and damping rates are engineered to match, thats why everyone raves about the handling and ride being not too bad. If you swap out springs, then you will loose some handling and ride quality. You, working at Honda, should know factory parts last longer and work better when paired with factory parts than with aftermarket parts.

Why didn't you just mount the springs on stock shocks? They're apparently the same as the Tokico Blues

The tokico blues are not the same as stock. There stiffer than oem. Tokico does make stock replacements.

do not get tokico HPs, save your money for koni yellows. hps are just revalved oem shocks and they pretty much only handle a mild drop. waste of money imo

Pro-kit is a mild drop. And the revalving is what makes them stiffer and more durable. What do you think the Koni's are. It's the same housing but different valving. And by the time the Koni's are released I'll probably be dead. Tokico's are a very nice setup for a DD looking for better handling and longer life with a mild drop. I am going with the Tokico's when my stock ones crap the bed. I've been in an Si with them and I was impressed with how solid they were. It rode harder but they didn't have that bang when you hit good sized bumps like the stock ones do. I would recommend them.
