LX brake upgrades

I have ~45k miles on my car and have already done the front brakes once. I'm starting to get some shaking in the steering wheel when braking and think it will be time to do the brakes again soon. Is there anything I can do to increase the performance of my brakes on an LX?

You can always upgrade your rear brakes from Drums to Pads from an EX model. You will probably be looking around 400 for both sides and that is everything and not including labor if you know how to do it.

I was thinking more like aftermarket pads, new lines, new rotors? I don't know if I can buy parts that are better than what honda will sell me from their parts store.

Thanks for the input though, if I had the cash to do a drum to disc swap I would.

Ok so it is possible to change the LX rear drums to disc brakes from the EX model is that correct? Is there any major modifications that have to be made for this change to happen? I can most likely get the parts at a low price...but just wanna make sure I am not going to get into a 1,000K upgrade....or anything.

they are cross drilled and slotted. That's what it says on their site.

How much of a difference does it make to upgrade the rotors to the ones noted above? I check the price on tirerack.com and they are about $140 each, which seems high but is it worth the cost?
