Mechanicsville VA Honda Dealer (HFP Suspension 513 OTD)

Great place to get parts from. They have sales on Ebay and are willing to price match other Honda dealers on Ebay. I got the HFP Suspension for 479 + tax. $513 OTD.

I took a road trip there when I was visiting someone in Richmond VA soo not cost for shipping. I believe they charge around $50 for shipping. If you have to have it shipped than go with these guys...

eBay Motors: 06 07 08 HONDA CIVIC HFP SPORT SUSPENSION KIT GENUINE (item 120233235164 end time Mar-23-08 14:45:09 PDT)

they are the ones I had Mechanicsville Honda price match. I believe w/ shipping from them it's around $530. I don't understand why some Honda dealers mark these things up so much. They told me there at cost was around $510

Mechanicsville Honda charges full price for the HFP kit. Which place in Mechanicsville are you talking about?

I'm talking about the Honda Dealer in Mechanicsville VA. I guess there is only one. Here is their Ebay add listed for $529. I had them price match another Ebay add from a California honda dealer.

eBay Motors: 03-07 GENUINE HONDA ACCORD 2D HFP SPORT SUSPENSION KIT (item 260220444381 end time Mar-21-08 12:09:35 PDT)

I don't know what they charge for HFP body kit if that is what you are asking.

This is strange. Three of my friends work at Mechanicsville Honda (yes it's the only one) and they've never heard of this seller and said they do not sell the HFP Suspension for anywhere close to that price.

Haha that is really strange. I was just there this past saturday and walked out of there with it for 513. It's in my trunk as we speak. It was a very easy transaction very little haggling. I even had them try to beat the 489 but that's as low as they are willing to go. He atleast attempted to do it.

Strange,

zumzumzoom is correct, though. I called that number on the ebay listing and it is Mechanicsville Honda- I called and they connected me with the parts department, because I considered ordering it from them but ordered it from the other Honda Dealer on ebay in CA...DCH Honda

$531.85 shipped!! Plus, no cost return shipping in case you decide at the last minute to not install it which is kind of silly.

DCH Honda are the ones I had them price match. What did DCH total come out to with shipping?

They will generally match prices. They try to rape you up front but will eventually price match. I bought a motor mount from them and they wanted like $200 I told them I could get it off line for like $75 plus shipping they matched it for me. I work like 5 minutes from them and was surprised they had a FA5 motor mount in stock haha.

thabends...here ya on that one, most dealers assume us owners don't research the internet and just assume we'll pay retail. The sad thing is most owners do pay full cost for accessories and parts and don't realize online dealers and wheeling and dealing exists

And actually that $511 dealer cost that zumzumzoom mentioned is actually much lower at this point because DCH honda told me that their discount the wholesale cost right now because the warehouses have overstock on the suspensions.

Zumzumzoom, I paid $531.85 shipped from DCH Honda by the way...damm you got a sweet deal but I'm not complaining either.

My local dealer told me $800 and then proceeded to tell me that I wouldn't be able to handle the install...I need special tools

Special tools? Haha the service guy must have been a special tool. Talking about tools did you get the trim kit tool or were you able to take out the interior of the trunk using normal tools. I hate those plastic pop things on the interior. They are the devil. One other thing I was pondering would it be overkill to use Loctite on the bolts for the suspension.

I'm not going to install until probably Sat. But yes, I have the KTC trim set.

Bought it from this place:

Panel Popper Kit

Crazy expensive, bought have bought the cheaper $8 sets and their made out of weak plastic crap and always broke when I used them on other cars I'm owned.

These things are worth their weight in gold for the panels and made out of heavy duty plastic and are direct imports from Japan.

I'm assuming you already installed your kit...I think loctite would be overkill because with the correct torque settings you should be set. The bolts are designed to be used only once so they make a nice tight fit with the threads.
