Skunk2 FTW

These springs give my car a perfect drop. I have had no problems with rubbing or anything. My 18's fit perfect with a 215 tire. I'll get pics up this weekend for sure.

P.S. It is around a 1.5 drop in the front and 1.6 in the back.

Yeah I don't think it's 2inches.. but never took time to measure. Mine never really settled after installing. They've stay the same height as far as I know, or the change was so subtle that it didn't make much of a difference

Everyone claims this drop is crazy, but it's not at all. I would say it is the same as tein s drop.

more like the eibach drop, the tein drop is lame imo, i would go with the sportlines to be honest, they are the sexiest drop springs i had. i had skunk2, sportlines and now i got buddy club coilovers, but the sportlines were def teh sex! and they rode a hell of a lot better than the sk2's

Ridge Racer, I see you had both the sportlines and the skunk2's. Do you have any pics of the car with the sportlines? I am debating a great deal between these 2 setups. I don't know which setup to go with. I hear different things in every thread. So you think the sportlines ride nicer? How about drop wise, was one lower than the other? I've heard that the skunks were lower in the rear. Is that true? Then again I hear the sportlines are. Since i know you had both I'll def take your advice over others. And if you still have either one are you looking to sell? Sorry about the million questions lol! Just trying to get everything figured out. Thanks in advance

Im sorry, but i only had the sportlines for a short time before i went with coilovers, but let me tell you that with the sportlines vs the skunk2, the front was about 1/8" higher in the front, but appeared to be about 1/8" lower in the rear if that makes sense, the overall drop was def way better than the skunk2's. the sk2's squeaked, were rough and i was not really happy. The sportliines, being a progressive spring, were a much nicer ride compared to sk2's and the drop was a little more balanced. i hope that helps, i def would strongly suggest sportlines from my experience.

Did you have them long enough for them to fully settle though?

yes, i had them on a month before the switch, they settled nice, no wheel gap and the ride was a hell of a lot smoother than the sk2's. i will try and find a pic.

use this sticky for more info. both springs are progressive, but pay attention to spring rate in the front springs, its a little more forgiving than the skunk2's and trust me, they were night and day when i made the switch, i cant really give you anymore advice than that. if you are that serious about your suspension, go with coilovers, but you would have to spend into the 3000 dollar range for quality or a race oriented setup, but for everyday driving i love my buddy clubs.

no, i just liked the sportlines better, to each is own, but i would def say the general consensus on this forum is that as far as springs go eibach ftw, german engineering so you cant really lose!

read this, hope it helps

^^ agreed! Those sportlines sure do look nice! I<3MyHonda are you running 18's in that pic? Got any more pics of your drop?

And BTW Ridge Racer thank you for all your info and advice. I must say I do like your drop on the buddy clubs, it looks great. Money isn't really a concern for me so it's not that I don't consider coilovers, its just that i'm not crazy about how stiff they are.

We drive a car that is fun and sporty. Why is everyone so concerned with looks? You can't see what the car looks like when you drive, you can only feel what its like when you drive.
