yes. they are a waste of money though. i have the carbing strut bar and there was no difference. the chasis on the 8th gens are already very rigid. take the money you would spend on a strut bar and buy a larger rear sway bar.

Wait, so are you saying you just want a strut bar because it looks neat, even when it offers zero performance enhancement?

you cant even see them. they go underneath that plastic cowl infront of the windshield. Pop your hood and you cant even see the strut towers. So not even aesthetic. trust me i bought one in hopes of greater steering response and was utterly disappointed after the install.

You wont feel a strut bars effect on stock suspension, that is a given. Nor will it make increase your steering response. Once you get into the more high end suspension setups - coilovers, track springs, poly/delrin bushings, control arms, setup, etc - they will play a roll in torsional stiffness. Stiffer is stiffer, and anything to make a unibody stiffer will help. There will always be some sort of deformation.

Even though the strut has vertical forces, its at an angle, and encounters horizontal forces too.

EDIT: This post does not refer to hinged bars. They have some effect, but very little at that.
