HFP is not meant to be an aesthetic mod. the drop is very slight and cant be noticed easily. lowering springs give that drop that people want, but without proper shocks matched up with them you sacrifice handling. Also the lower you go the more compromised the suspension geometry becomes, so basically stock height has the most potential for superb handling. if you really want a nice looking drop i'd advise waiting for a good set of shocks to come out and slap on the springs you're interested in.
true, there's just not much shocks out right now to choose from, what do you think with the tokico hp paired with eibach pro kit? it'll come out roughly with the same price as the hfp.

Tokico hp's are just OEM replacements. I dont care what anyone says. They are the same height as OEM, and valved identically. From what i've gathered it seems like having a pair of good lowering springs would suit your style better than anything. You can always buy upgraded shocks when they become available as long as you dont drive like a madman on the stock shocks.

What do you recommend for good shocks to go with sportlines? do you recommend cambers for rear aswell?

there are no after market performance shocks right now. camber kit is essential for anyone who wants to maximize handling, and in most cases with lowering a camber kit is needed to correct alignment issues.

I purchased my HFP suspension from them for my FA5. About 2 months into ownership one of the rear struts became defective. I sent both back to them, sent them original bill of sale from them with my VIN number and they sent out 2 new rear struts no questions asked.

How did you know one of the rear dampers was deffective?

All, I just finished the install myself on my FA5 with the use of two jack stands and a floor jack. As long as you have some mechanical ability, its a piece of cake! Just take time to understand the installation instructions and have the proper tools as well as patience.

If you don't have impact tools, which I do, you will definately need a breaker bar to get the bolts off the trailing arms, struts, dampers, and the front. Also, you need a torque wrench...thats a must. The instructions also failed to mention that you need a 14mm socket and/or wrench to use on the rear suspension parts.

Now as far as the ride goes, I love it!! Not that much harsher than the stock Si suspension. Those complaining about the rough ride must live in pretty poorly maintained areas because, yeah you feel the road a little bit more but its nothing to think about.

And this is coming from soneone who had an 05 EXV6 Accord that drove like a boat compared to the Si

As I went over bumps, slow and light one of the rear struts rattled. Everything was tight. To test it, I put the driver side strut on the passanger side and vise versa. The noise I was hearing moved with that strut. Sounded like the strut insert was loose. Noise sounded like a marble in a plactic tube if you were to shake it. They are not supposed to sound like that. Haha.

Did you have the panel tools to remove the trunk interior? If not was it hard to not break those stupid little plastic clips. That is the only tool I don't have and am trying to figure out if it is a must or not. Thanks

you unscrew the little clips in the trunk lining. notice they have flathead grooves in them. i have an electric screw driver and had all of them out in under 60 seconds.

If my car is a DD and i live in an area with well maintained roads, will the stock shocks last a good amount of time with the sportlines or pro-kit...or at least until more companies come out with good shocks made for lowering?

^ ya you should be fine. many people have pulled off stock shocks on springs for 100K miles on older civics.

zumzumzoom, you can get by without the trim tool for the screw type clips, but there are also 4 regular clips that you have to pry out- not sure if this is the same for the coupe. You can even get a cheap kit at like autozone if you want or use a pry tool from autozone. If not, just pick up four of these clips at the dealer- they're cheap and usually in stock.

Don't worry- it will go fine
