Invite a friend over the weekend to help you, buy some beer and do it yourself..you'll both get it done in about three hours more or less. Took me 4-5 hrs by myself with no power tools. You'll get the satisfaction of getting to know your car better and for the first time lowering a vehicle yourself..

HFP = Got it. Love it.

Had mine installed at the dealer before I took delivery, so I can't speak to labor costs. But there are plenty of driveway mechanics who'll do the job for you for lunch and/or beer.

Does installing yourself void the warranty?

i know the HFP suspension isn't valved for the eibach pro-kit springs but don't you think it would be a pretty close match if paired together? at least better than pairing your stock suspension with eibach pro-kits I think. HFP setup puts you at .8" drop while the eibachs would give you 1". the 0.2" difference would seem slightly insignificant if they were paired together.

it's not a question of why would you do it cause you can spend blah blah blah instead of that. i'm just saying if it were to be done, i would hypothesize it would be an enhanced alternative of running a full HFP setup.

the drop has nothing to do with the valving of the shocks. it has to do with the spring rates, and the HFP springs have different rates than the pro kit.

ya its possible. the springs will physically fit on the dampers. but if you're gonna spend that much money you might as well get Megan coilovers for another hundred bucks.

hey CanyonDriver question, would you recommend the comptech springs/eibach springs on stock shocks? how long do you think they'll last on bad roads here in NYC. or i'm better off just getting the hfp?

Unless you want that tucked under dropped look you're way better off with HFP. Better handling then most available products on the market currently, and wont void your warranty. Whats not to love about it

thing is, i've never seen one that is dropped with hfp in person, and ive seen one dropped with comptech. is it true that the hfp drop you wont eve notice it? i think comptech is 1" front and 1.2" rear, with the hfp's .8" I figure it's not that much of a difference, specially if i put my 18's on. thoughts?

HFP is not meant to be an aesthetic mod. the drop is very slight and cant be noticed easily. lowering springs give that drop that people want, but without proper shocks matched up with them you sacrifice handling. Also the lower you go the more compromised the suspension geometry becomes, so basically stock height has the most potential for superb handling. if you really want a nice looking drop i'd advise waiting for a good set of shocks to come out and slap on the springs you're interested in.

This is what I would love to know? I have seen the pro kit on a sedan with 18's loved the way it looked, but do not know how it handled because I didn't ride in it but, how does the ride hight match with 18's if they are paired with hfp suspension?
