Koni Yellows + (Insert random springs) = Ok?

I keep seeing people saying to put on w/e springs you want, and then in 6 months or so throw on Koni yellows to replace your shot shocks/dampers and you'll be fine. My question is, are Koni yellows a good replacement for ANY spring? Wouldn't you need to match it with something made for those dampers/shocks instead of just any ole set of springs you happen to have on?

Obviously can be more ideal and setup better, but most konis can handle up to about a 800 pound spring....

^^ So if I got Progress, Eibach Pro kit, Sportlines or whatnot, none of that should matter because the Konis will work well with it?

In theory yes, and they will, but there will always be a better performer out there..

you can adjust koni yellows to where they would match up a little bit better. wont be valved specifically for any spring but it will be more suitable after tuning the shock via slight adjustments.
