T1R Suspension Goodies

So this may be a long shot, but does anyone have a T1R coilover kit for the FG2? I have asked around a bit on HT and found some people using them on their track cars. I'd like to get some unbiased points of view. After getting the T1R exaust, I love the product, it's nice to have a true Japan part now days.

From what I have read, no one in japan knows how to make a streetable suspension, higher end track, not to bad, but nothing for the streets.

From the only shock dyno I found, they look like every other Asian coilover on the market. Not enough low speed, to much highspeed.

They make a good exhaust so their suspension must be good? I'm confused how that is relevant.

It's JDM. I think that's all that matters in this thread.

Was the T1R shock dony you saw off of HT? If so thats the only one I could find as well. There are lot's of things being said about T1R, to they are made by the same company that makes Apexi coilovers to Ziel and Endless. I'm not really to worried about the stiffness of the ride. I can sacrafice comfort for good times at the track. My last setup was the GC's and Konis, running 400F 500R, it was not to harsh at all in my mind. Handled great, felt great on the street, and didint even feel that bad on the strip with swaps and boost pushing them.

Yet Koni has only giving the FG2 sports part numbers. The season is coming up, I like the quality and "track tested" aspects of the exhaust and so on. So one could only hope they put the same testing and quality into their suspensions.

T1R B52 Damper Kit - $1,525.00 : T1R, Type One Racing USA

I can get a pretty good price comparable to GC's and Konis on the kit...Same deal on their new BBK, yet I still want to use the stock 17"s while not on the track.

The reason the konis handled well and rode good was because of its dyno curve. The Konis have lots of low speed damping for good handling and not to much high speed for a good ride. The T1R is the opposite of that. Not enough low speed for handling, too much high speed for a good ride. Just because it rides stiff, doesn't mean it handles well.

Suspension companies that only make suspensions, make the best suspensions Companies like Penske, Moton, Blistien, Koni. When a company makes a lot of different products, they can't put the proper developmet into all their products so the quality of all there parts suffer. Making an exhaust isn't all that hard, it just pipes welded together. Thats why exhaust are always the first parts on the market. Making a suspension requires so much more which is one of the reasons Koni hasn't even come out with an OTS Sport yet.

Spoon or Spoon Sports is a manufacturer of aftermarket racing parts for Hondas.

"Type One" is Spoon's garage in Japan. (see TYPE ONE and Spoon Sports - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Type One Racing or T1R is a Canadian/American company. Aside from causing some confusion with people with their choice of name (see above), they have nothing to do with Spoon.

Well since now I have spoken, this whole T1R is made in Canada or American can be drop. T1R is made in Japan.

Theres is more behind T1R products that meets the eye of people. I can for surely let you know that its a high quality product and well made . Most people would say "You get what you pay" and thats a fact.
