Installation/alignment places for Camber kit + Spring install

I've got my SPC front/rear camber kit, now I'm looking at most likely getting the Eibach Sportlines to lower it a bit. Hopefully my shocks/struts don't wear out too quickly or I'm in a word of crap.

I don't really have any performance shops around me so I'm wondering if just a generic retail chain can install this stuff? I asked a guy at Midas' if they could do it and he said they could, but I'm not sure if they can align a lowered car? I thought I read on here that lowered cars need a special alignment machine that was in the ground or some sort but now I can't find it. I'm also worried that they're going to do something wrong.. anyone have an chain store like this do their springs? Just don't wanna buy anything else until I'm sure I have a place to put them on for me.

Most dealerships will put that in for you...I know where I'm from...the local dealer is all for modding cars. Just give the dealership where you bought the car a call and ask them.

^^ A lady at my dealership once told me I might have issues arguing my 2nd/3rd gear grind because I had changed my shift boot and in doing so, I might damaged something in the shifter. I don't think they're gonna drop my car

Thatis sooooo f*cking lame! Find yourself annother dealer man! What is with dealers and being so sticky about not covering things, its free money for them!
I work for a Lexus dealership and I woudn't dream of taking that kind of attitude...but then again thats why we (Lexus) win award after award for our service!

First off, see if there are any locals on this forum that can help you out. If that doesnt work look for a local car forum. Ask them for help/advice on where a performance shop is in your area. If that doesn't work just ask around chains. Depending on the owner some don't mind doing mods

You can get your alignment anywhere. They're saying they CANT because they believe you might be too low to get onto the machine.

Eibach sportlines aren't low enough to be a problem.

Watch out with chain alignment shops.

I had wasted my time with firestone because they didn't kow to adjust my rear camber and told me I didnt have camber bolts in the front when I DID.

They'll also tell you the camber setting you want is stupid and will wear tires down. They only know about OEM specs, so be prepared to get people scoffing at you your "performance camber setting."

I first tired taking mine to the dealer but they were being a-holes about it. I went to get some work done on my work van at tire kingdom and asked them about it and they said that they would. But after a few months of waiting I found some people on here that helped me put them on.

I agree. I just about can't stand to take my car anywhere. Got in an argument with a supposedly "reputable" Honda shop the other day about my notchy 3rd gear. Anyway, post pics when you are done! I am thinking about these springs or the pro-kit.

^^ Tom (thepiper on here) is swaying me to get the Prokit instead, so I might get that. I don't wanna mess up my shocks/struts too badly right now, with I suppose the sportlines will do in a hurry. He also has a guy who can put them on for about $200

Wait, 200 INSTALL?

If a shop charges you more than 150$ for spring/camber kit install they're ripping you off.

I can get people down here to do it for me for xx$ easy.

Aren't you going to get Koni i-vtec? I doubt any spring you could possibly get can kill them THAT bad by March.

What spring were you planning on getting originally?

It was $200 for the springs and camber kit installed.

I would LIKE to get the Konis, I donno if I will though. Originally I wanted Sportlines for my car but I don't wanna ruin the shocks/sturts. I just don't know enough about suspensions to really make any good decisions lol. Say I do get the sportlines and my ride starts getting all bouncy and whatnot. I can just get the Konis once the come out and then my suspension will be fine from then on?

Don't pay 200$ for that. That's a ripoff. 150 at the most.

If they included an alignment with it, it'd be worth it.

Yeah, you can get sportlines and once your car turns into a bounce house you can get koni's.

If you're more serious about handling pro-kit keeps the suspension travel more ideal. Progress springs are a good middle ground in height between pro-kit and sportlines. They're also linear which is better for handling. It's up to you.

It's hard to mess up a metal coil. They're fine if you want a linear spring. They'll ride a bit rougher than Eibach's progressive springs, however.

A lot of chain stores like Midas don't like to apply performance setups to suspensions because of the liability involved. I would recommend that you look around for a locally owned shop and then sit there and watch them work.

I think he'd have better luck finding a chain willing to do it than firing blind at a local shop.

A Meineke near me is run by a bunch of cool old asian guys that don't mind installing mods. Something like that would be ideal if he can't find a real performance shop.
