sportlines and 18's

if i lower my civic on sportlines will 18's with a 225/40 tire fit without rubbing? Also what offset should I get for the rims?

They should fit no problem (or very little problems). The stock offset is +45... Try and get as close to that as possible. But I think anything between +42 to +48 would be ok.

BTW.. the best width wheel for this application is 7.5" (18x7.5)

You sure about that? 225/40 is a decently wide tire and the sportlines really drop the car alot.
