From some of your other post I got the impression that single adjustable coilovers were not worth sh@#. Does that mean I need Koni Race (double adustable twin tube) and Coilovers? I do mostly DD but want to do X-cross next month. Also, no one drives or rides in the car but me. I am willing to take a stiff ride. However, ATL is pothole land.

^^There is single adjustable meaning there is one knob that adjusts things....and Double adjustable meaning there is two knobs. Were talking only Double adjustable here... NOW the Shit of it is is that to save money cause its less expensive to make the shocks most "pre-built" coilover company utalize one knob that adjusts both settings..Rebound and Bump...So you will always have to compromise more bump for more rebound or less. Koni single adjustables only adjust rebound, bump stays constant. This can allow for finer tuning.

This is the standard insert instructions that use a bolt from the bottom.
http://www.koni-na.com/pdf/boltstrut.pdf

Our setup is different..yet similar.

"Our setup will include an insert that is fitted into the stock housing. The stock housing obviously has to be modified. The only modification required is cutting the top of the strut housing off and welding the fitted custom top that we have developed. The fitted top has a threaded exterior for coilover setups and a threaded top portion that is used to tighten the insert into the housing with the Koni threaded cap. These inserts are not the RSX-style inserts with the bottom set-screw; rather they are similar to VW and Toyota inserts that are held in with a threaded cap (a Koni part actually) that perfectly holds the insert without letting it move at all."

for autoX, which of these setups are fine for stock class? I remember reading the rules stating that shocks are permitted, but springs aren't? Which of the choices is for someone who's already doing four open track days a year and autoX in between very soon? Thanks!

I'm assuming this product is not a out-of-the-box koni product but rather, konis with your shop's custom modification, right?

^ so this is not the out-of-the-box no-weld solution from Koni that we are all waiting for?

In short, I want the Koni Yellows that are supposed to be a direct bolt-on replacement to our stock suspension. I don't want to modify or weld anything. Plug and Play is what I'm looking for and I'm not trying to bash your offering. I just need to clarify what exactly you guys are selling. Thanks!

Koni has been doing inserts for YEARS for cars, nothing at all wrong with an insert.

And our setup will be more universal if you ever choose to upgrade to Double adjustables, in that the same housing setup is used for both....You also get the best of both worlds in that it is a coilover or can be used with any lowering spring..

Yes the DA's will maintain the spring perch also..Or for additonal weight savings it could be cut off..To run a standard spring the adjustable collare for the coilover sould need to be removed..
