Moose I told you already I am a Hoodlum not a punk.
![]() Do you like the K-mac's Moose? By their design I not only one can be maxed out caster or camber, or a balance between the two..Have any other thoughts on them?

In General I like the design mostly for its simplicity ![]() ![]() -You get 2.5 degree's in all directions ...but I suspect that you may loose about 1/2 a degree when you max out either -Once you loosen off the bolts you have two axis's of movement ...which allows you to quickly adjust both Camber and caster -The down-side to that is that it will be a bit harder to get a particular repeatable setting -I Like the fact that they have two top bearing options, a Urethane bushed, and Spherical ...and these parts are user replaceable (Critical) -The Markings are not as precise as like what you get with a GC mount ... BUT if you are using external camber/caster guages, this is less of an issue. -Based on my limited knowledge of the 8th Gen Suspension ... the big issue up front appears to be the room or physical space to fit a big top mount like you would with a traditional top mount. I think this design "may" be the best comprimise in maximising the movement in the smallest footprint. -These mounts are designed to work with OE open ended "round" springs and closed"flat-toped" ERS style springs with an adaptor ... this is kind of rare ..most top mounts are for ERS style springs My 2 cents Moose Last edited by Moose; 01-29-2008 at 05:36 PM. |

A note on shiping.
I've shipped 1.5 suspensions myself and had 2 suspensions shipped to me. A full suspension is anywhere from 65-90 when shipping ups ground.

We have UPS and FedEx accounts, and the FedEx Ground that we usually use is $27 to DC and $55 to Cali. That's for a 36x20x16 box at 35 lbs. Maybe it's having a good commercial shipping account that helps a bit. That's home delivered with a signature required and valued at $999.
Anyway, I guess it depends where you live and how well you pack it. And that box size is estimated...just for example. But it's probably close to what we'll need to use. Chris |

dear redshift guys, pls bear with me as i'm not mechanical incline (AT ALL). =)
so with the sport coilover package, can the ride height be adjusted after it has been installed on the car (much like the tein flex's C shaped wrench thingy?). and how do u adjust the dampening when there is no external knob as mentioned above? probably during installation? is it possible to buy this package as a complete bolt on meaning i won't have to ship u the stock body to weld? i just want to be able to swap the stock suspension back in when i sell my car without having to buy extra stock body. if i want negative camber front and back, would i need to buy other aftermarket camber kit like the SPC or the coilover will allow me to play with negative camber. or should i just wait for koni to come out with a coilover system (will they?) thx guys! my piggy bank has ur name on it already. |

Yeah it is standard coilover height adjustment...
The Sports will have a knob on top... Maybee but cost will increase... You can get camber plates that we will offer for the front.. No they do packages with fixed springs normally....

hahah... yeah the shocks can handle that too. Until we actually try these things, I want to be a bit conservative. But an 800 rear spring rate is still only a 265 rear wheel rate.... so you are running a 450/265 wheel rate, which is a 62 % front rate balance... similar to the weight of the car; so that's not a bad first stab and what is right for the track. But as soon as you hit the gas, all the formulas in the world can't tell you what the car will feel like; so let's save a final conclusion until we have some testing done.

If you all feel it needs more rear spring, then by all means, add more rear spring before you ship it out
