Put the car on jack stands. Put the sping in with the damper (shock) unattached. Set to a height. Put the wheel on. Twist your arm around (you might have to be on your back to do it) to where you can reach the damper. Lengthen or shorten the damper so the bushing on the damper lines up with the mounting holes on the suspension. Take off the wheel and attach the damper. Put the wheel back on.

Op, why are you spend money just to over lower your car to the point that your suspension geometry is so effed that that the car handles worse than a mini van?

Yes I'm saying it doesn't handle good. Those "drops" are too much for the suspension to handle. Just because it seems like it rolls less (it actually rolls more for every inch of suspension travel when compared to stock) doesn't mean it handles better. Body roll is no indication of how well a car handles.

That all depends.

If you have parts that can adjust the suspension geometry back to a near stock setup, the lower the better. There might be 2 people that can do this at the moment, and they race their FG2 and FA5.

If you don't, about 1.5 would be max. The gain in handling from a lower center of gravity get less and less the lower you go. Also, the degradation in hanlding do to poor suspension geometry increases the lower you go at a much higher rate than the gain you get from a lower cg

Probably wasn't too stiff, probably too low and not enough suspension travel...
