changing only rear spring?

well I'm lazy as hell and don't feel like taking front ones off...rear ones on the other hand just comes off with ease

if i bought SI springs and only put them in the rear, how would it effect the handling?(if ther are any difference in the spring rate)

i have EX coupe with SI wheels and SI rear sway bar.

I'd not try that. Springs set work together as a set. Changing only the rear will upset the car's balance

uhhh i dont think it would be a good idea. i honestly do not know what will happen as a result of it but personally i would not let lazyness get in between me and a 20,000 dollar car. just my thoughts. performance wise i would imagen it would decreace your performance due to the lack of consistancy throughout the cars setup. the back would be stiffer than the front and lower. i am not an expert on this though. and looks that cant look all that good either. id say take them off or put the fronts on imiditaly to avoid a bad situation.

^^ correct. It is ok to just put sways on the rear, since it is an reinforcement for corning only. Springs, however, is the integral part of the suspension and are responsible for the weight transfer when the car is in motion (acceleration, braking and corning)

i don't really see a problem with this. Plenty of aftermarket companys offer different spring rates for the front and rear. With stiffer springs in the back it will promote more oversteer, well not really more oversteer but less understeer. I would however recomend paring these with at least si shocks if not aftermarket shocks, b/c the valveing in the lx shocks is different than that of the si.

on an EX too?

whats the worst it can do by putting SI springs on, they are not much different.. it's not like the SI springs are considerably lower, only thing would be it's stiffer. now all thats gonna do is make stock shock(ex) work less wouldn't it?

just going by the "theory"

i've been there and done ALL that...and i just don't have the time and effort to mess with cars anymore...
