Want to improve road comfort!

Ok, I have an EX with HFP suspension. When I first bought the car I noticed how the bumps on the road will make the car go up and down a lot. Being a noob with suspension I installed the HFP thinking well maybe if the car is gonna get shaken up might as well get shaken up correctly with this supposely better sport suspension kit. But after driving with it for over 6 months and traveling further in the area around me, there is just so many freaking bumpy road everywhere. The only place I'm confident and having fun driving is on the freeway or highway.

WIth the bumps around the corner, I can't even drive that fast and corner. For example, if the corner has some bump, it will feel like the car is turning but when you hit the bump the car felt like losing grip for a slight moment then getting grip back making the car jerks. And if the bump is not around the corner but before I starts to corner, being a little fast will activate my ABS because of losing grip when the car hit the bump and loses grip for that slight moment. I don't know. Being a midsize sedan driver since I got my liscense is probably making me feel this way. But driving my cousins cavalier and my buddy's STI doesn't feel the same. I don't know about the cavalier, but STI is all pimped out with aftermarket parts, I'm almost certain that he has aftermarket suspension. But the bumps doesn't bother the STI, so I'm wondering what's going on with my civic?

Just yesterday a SUV was taunting me at a stop light, it was more of a friendly joke but the point is that I'm not confident at driving past speed limit on these roads around my area, because I think if I go any faster than it bumps will make my comfort go even worse. It feels like I'm offroad on some of these roads, going up and down and hitting the top of my head on the roof and stuff. So is softer spring supposely help with this? If so where can I find some softer springs. I still have the stock but obviously it wasn't good enough for me.

For those that said their aftermarket spring or HFP made their car feel like on the rail while cornering, does bumps around the corner jerks your car too? My feel like on the rail but if there is any bump, the car will twitch.

I don't understand the problem? Are you hitting "huge" bumps that are giving you air? because even if you go over a bump you should still be able to steer? If that is how you feel, and you aren't confident, i don't know what to tell you. thank god you didn't buy an Si? HAHA. Sounds like a civic suspension that doesn't ride like a range rover.

I don't know. I drove the cavalier and the STI around the same corners at the same speed and both of them didn't jerk at all.

I got all season, and no I have no camberkit. I don't think the cavalier has camberkit on it, but not sure about the STI.

I Vote Tires ... as the primary issue.

The suspension upgrade just highlighted what was hidden by the softer OE suspension.

EVERYTHING in the handling department starts with your contact patch ...and if your contact patch (tires) are not good ... it does not matter how good your suspension is ... it is not going to feel or perform right

try luxury tires instead of sport ones.
also lighter wheels and lighter suspension will help but i doubt its necesasry.

I guess I can try different tires, but what do you recommend if I have ultra all season performance right now?

tires has been 28-30 everytime I checked, and yes I'm looking into getting a TL for family instead a fun car for weekend. It's just the fact that some of the other cars I drove didn't have this problem at all, while the civic is so bad with it. That's why I'm hoping something I can do to improve the ride comfort on my civic which I drive everyday. I bet some of the higher end sports cars doesn't have this problem at all, so I like to know what's the difference between their suspension and the one on my civic. If you say it's stiff because it's better sport wise, why didn't the STI get the same thing since it's way more sportier than my ex. That's just an example why I'm asking the question. Is it because the car is lighter? different tires? their spring is softer? What is it exactly? I don't know that's why I'm asking.
