Tein Baisc Coilover Help

Over the weekend I installed the basics on my car. I haven't had any problems with them until last night. I was driving down the road the the front left is make this clunking noise. I have no idea what it is. I looked for anything loose and nothing. When you guys tighten the top bolt that goes over the top hat much much did you tighten it? Did you guys put the bump stops on the Basics? That is the only thing we didn't put on, so I don't know if that was it or not. Also would it make a difference if the arrow on the top hat is facing in, because I don't remember if we did that or not. Thanks for any help.

The general concensus seems to be that the Teins just make sounds like that. Sometimes checking and retorqueing you nuts helps, but there's not a lot you can do other than that.

What he said^. Hopefully you don't hear the sound to often. I don't think there's nothing to worry about. Even my stock Si suspension made noise from time to time...

Really? I never got any noises from my stock suspension. Well, I guess there were a couple times when I significantly jolted it and it sounded like it was popping back in place. And so far my HFPs have been well behaved, so I'm thankful for that.

Yeah it happened a couple times as I was coming in to work. I'd slow down as I approached the gate and I remembered hearing some sounds. I forgot what they sound like now, but it had me concerned. Luckily it's all gone now...

Everything is ok now. Turned out that my buddy didn't tighten down the wheel lugs. Only one was tight and it wasn't even that tight.

My SS went for 2 months before making noise. Then it maked the clunking noise all the time. I un/reinstalled those things 3 times and it never changed. The stock front upper suspension mounts are only ment to go in one way (there is an arrow that should point ot the front of the car) even though they fit any way you put them.

Tein even says that noises are normal in the instruction manuals. However, it doesn't say what those noises are.
