The front one should fit. Idk about the rear bar. I never seen it. I wouldn't bother getting them. I wouldn't bother getting them. They do do much if anything for steering improvement.unless you want them for looks.

Great post from a suspension guru..
"Not really as you are not altering the cars spring rates or damper rates. I would suspect that those who have felt more understeer after installing one of these braces is simply pushing the car harder then they did before and there for just running in to the inherent understeer the car had prior to the installation. Regardless, I really have two reasons why I'm not a huge fan of such braces. First and foremost is that as someone who uses their car for competition, said brace would bump me in to a class that I had no chance in being competitive. and secondly, the documented minimal increase in performance from such bars. (As documented by D3 designs, the makers of the X and Y brace). I am using the #'s from their site as an example as they are the only ones who have documented actual improvement in a cars performance by lap times... rather then every one else's "It feels so much more solid" quotes in performance. So, D3 claims that their test car was 1.2 seconds faster with their front brace then it was with out. Great, 1.2 seconds. I would kill to be 1.2 seconds faster on track. And thats the problem... 1.2 seconds per lap means that you are, in a best case scenario, three tenths of a second faster per turn.... Thats .3 seconds on a track with 4 total turns. What is more likely, give D3's location, They probably did their test on the streets of willow course in Southern California. A track that has between 12 and 15 turns depending on course setup. So in reality your looking at an improvement of about .1 to .08 seconds per turn. Thats One tenth to Eight Hundredths of a second faster per turn. Can you even start and stop a stopwatch in under 1/10th of a second? After quantifying that, The conclusion I drew was if you are building a track car and are looking for those last few tenths, Sure get the brace as it will help you be faster on track. But if you are building a street car and are expecting to notice the car handling better or cornering faster.... your delusional. As making the car a tenth of a second faster in any particular turn isn't going to be something that you are going to be able to feel. But hey, if you want to make the car "feel" more stable and stiff, go for it. just don't think that you are substantially faster then you were before the brace, because the data says otherwise." any one put a strut towerbar on an si? |

Not that I care to buy braces or tower bars--my main goal is to have the car feel more neutral at the limit. |
