Turbo put 10-11 Cusco braces and a huge 4mm metal plate on the front sub frame on an EVO and they said it didn't make the car handle better (quantitatively) but they did get more feed back from the car (qualitatively) and it improved ride quality on the streets. The thing is, that EVO had a full bushing kit (some of which were metal), roll center adjusters front and rear, front and rear sway bars, wide, near R comp rubber on light weight wheels, a wicked alignment and a $12,000 set of Moton coilovers. So braces do help but only after you sink $18,000 in parts into the car before you buy the braces.

Manufactures make braces because they have a high profit margin for a relativily cheap product.

all my braces made a huge difference better handling in corners and when i hit bumps it feels like the impact is spread out through the suspesion as apose to one wheel

Not that I care to buy braces or tower bars--my main goal is to have the car feel more neutral at the limit.
an alignment will make steering neutral more than anything. after that stiffer shocks paired with stiffer spring rates. the chasis on 8th gens are already substantially stiffer that the previous gens. I bought the carbing strut bar for my FG2 and it was a complete waste of money, and a PITA to pop of the plastic cowls, metal shield, etc. 1 hour to do something that takes under 5 minutes on other cars.

Ok, I did a fitting with greg and all of the bars fit on FA's and FG's. I bought the 3 for the trunk and the one for the front lower chasis under the radiator also the 2 for the rear seat mounts also the rear triangulated tie bar all pieces are Cusco. I already had the front strut and the lower front tie bar , the H braceand the progress 22mm rear sway installed w/ High rev's reinforcement brackets also Hotckis endlinks. Still running HFP springs and factory Dapmners. I still haven't had time to install the front radiator lower support which should stiffen things up. As in a corner I can feel the chasis flex up there. I like the improvements to the over chasis.

The reason you can not find them in the US is because there are not a lot or very minimal company that are J's Racing distributor. If you or anyone else is interested in ordering something from J's Racing feel free to contact me. It will be special order.

Cusco's bar all fit both FG and FA. Only problem no one has them yet in the US. I'm sure they are to come since cusco has learned they fit both vehicles. Link is post on page 1. I would have to believe this stuff will fit also. And these guys are also GREAT!!!!

WOW so excited, hopefully my long waiting will pay off someitme soon with these. I think they would fit the Fa5 better, in this case because fd2 has basically the same stucture.

I think they should all fit on both FA5 and FG2, but I am not 100% sure it will, but I do not see why not. The reason is because the fa5 and the fg2 has the same body layout and the dimesion of the mounting points.

here is the link I have posted up with all the price if anyone is interested on ordering.
