What are TEIN Super street coilovers electronic dampening system

Just looking over the internet and wondering if one could explain what TEIN Super street coilovers electronic dampening are and what they do. Just wondering if one can lower or raise the vehicle from your driver seat, or does it do something else??

It is a set of small electric motors that are placed ontop of the adjustment screws of the Tein shocks. There is a small controller mounted in the dash that allows you to adjust the stiffness of the shocks from inside the car.
