TEIN lowering spring
Hey guys, need some advice on this.
Thinking about dropping my ride a bit, should I go for TEIN S-Tech or H-Tech springs?? And I was talking to this performance shop in my area(really unfriendly and rude)and they said that if I go for H-tech I'd only need the spring itself, but if I go for S-Tech I'd need some other parts to go with it(forgot what it called)! So which way should I go?! S or H and if go for S, what else would I need other then springs?! One more question! By lowering my ride what would happen to my handling? Same as stock, worse or better?? |

I would go for the S-Tech's because of the lower drop
you will need a camber kit with the springs. With a bigger drop you will have a lower center of gravity which will give you slightly better handling, but there are many other factors that effect handling... camber, tires, shocks, etc. |

The High Tech's are a "luxury" spring. They don't drop the car as much and have a softer spring rate whereas the S-Tech is typically a shorter spring with more of a drop and firmer spring rates.
So it depends on if you want more of a drop or not. Wth more of a drop too you will get more negative camber so you will likely need a camber kit and it may bring the damper out of its efficiency (travel) range.

they either told u to get a camber kit b/c the drop is gonna give u negative camber or they told u to get stuts (shocks) b/c the spring rate is different from the stock spring rate so it will blow out ur struts in maybe 15-20k miles and then it will feel like ur riding on brick tires.
I happen to like the s techs better for the drop and they do improve handling a little bit.
