Question on Installing Springs?

For those of you who have done it yourself is it absolutely necesary to use a spring compressor or is the recoil on the factory spring not that bad? I know I don't need the compressor to put on the new springs but is it necesary to take the old springs off the struts/shocks?

I'm just waiting on this info to determine wether I need to rent the parts or not so I can go ahead and install my Eibach Sportlines.

It's more necessary for the removal than the installation. For safety's sake use a spring compressor to take apart the assembly.

Be sure to give a review on the springs when they are in. I haven't heard too much about these springs only the race springs which I hear are fairly stiff and ride like rocks. I’m looking for a 1.5” drop…so it’s these or the teins…I think I may have seen some eibachs with a 1.5 drop but can’t remember…I haven’t seen them I know that.

The Eibach pro-kit springs are like 1.2-1.5 inch drop, the sportlines are like 1.80-2.0 inch drop.

I'll be sure to take pics and stuff.
