HFP suspension kit doesn't work for DX??

It said it only work for the LX & EX

also on a related note, will the SI suspension (Coupe) work on DX,LX,EX (Coupe)?

Don't know about the DX, but the SI HFP suspension will FIT on the DX/LX/EX, but it wasn't designed for them. I would get the HFP suspension that is made for your car.

The LX/EX will fit on the DX. All FG/FA have the same suspension design. The only difference with the LX and DX is the weight.

Yes it would. But since the SI is heavier than the DX, the suspension is gonna be stiffer.

If you get the Si suspension for your DX, that should give you better handling than that of the DX for the DX. Although, stiffer isn't always better, in this case, it is better because the HFP suspension arent that stiff (relatively speaking).

All HFP Civic Suspensions will FIT on any Civic.

BUT

If you put the HFP Suspension that is designed for the Si Sedan and put it on a DX Coupe, the dampers WILL NOT be designed correctly, as with spring rates (FA5/FG2 vs. FA/FG [EX, LX, DX])

I would NOT recommend putting an Si HFP Suspension on a EX, LX, (DX).

If you are thinking it will handle better because the Si application is stiffer, I would put money it won't if you put it on a DX.

If anything get the HFP Suspension designed for the EX/ LX, AT or MT, Coupe/ Sedan (yes there is even different ones for tranny type too).

I hope you are understanding what I am trying to say.

DX has no front sway bar, I thought?

But I was told by HighRev that with our cars (which understeer), to eliminate understeer, to put in a heavier RSB. Putting in a stiffer front sway bar does nothing but help it understeer more. It's thus best to have the stiffer sway bar in the back and a less stiff one in the front. I have the stock EX one on the front and the Si one on the back for me.

Possibly, you might be prompting oversteer, then. If you want the progress RSB, i'd go with the Si front.

But PM HighRev. He's the suspension god.

Don't put the front Si bar on with progress rear swaybar. Just keep the stock ex front bar and go with the progress bar. You car is still going to push coming off the corner. What you need to worry about is braking to late and turning in at the same time. That might cause a spin. On the streets, I would keep a front sway bar unless I get stiff enough springs to make up for the lack of the front bar. FWD cars do better out of a corner when the front suspension are not tied together with a sway bar. FWD cars need the articulation to keep as much rubber on the road as possible. Also, sway bars put extra load on the outside tire. More load means less grip. Less grip is not good, unless its in the back (to a point).
