Progress Springs w/ Aero Kit

Does anyone have progress springs on their civic coupe with the aero kit. How much ground clearance do you have? If you have a pic, please post it up.

I think i'm going to do the progress springs with HFP shocks, or just stick with the HFP suspension kit all together. Not 100% sure yet.

Thanks in advance!

Spring change ?!?!?!?

I have the HFP sport suspension with the HFP front and rear under lip spoilers. I don't understand why anyone would want to replace the the HFP springs with any other springs. My reasoning is that Honda has designed the HFP suspension to match and improve the performance of their cars. Most aftermarket springs are not designed for individual manufactures requirements (spring rates and strut/shocks heights) and are just ones that fit your height requirement. If you just want to lower your car more than a little less than an inch, just get lowering springs. If you want performance, for the money, IMO the HFP suspension is a good bang for the buck. Here are pictures of my car with all my mods. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showt...165#post732165

^even though the HFP dampers are not designed for aftermarket lowering springs, they are designed for the lower hfp springs, and therefore should complement aftermarket lowering springs bettter than the OEM dampers.

^ I see your point. I just can't see buying HFP suspension for $600 (present going rate with shipping) and then spending another $200 or more for more springs. If you are going to spend $800 plus, why not get an adjustable suspension.

I might just end up with the Buddy Club N+ so that I can get damper adjustability.

Mark, Jersey roads SUCK!!! We know this...ALso we know that the softer the suspension the better...Determine what the car is doing or isn't doing that you don't like now and the usage of the car then make the decison. Jersey roads will abuse your suspension like a Redheaded step child gets abused

Yeah I know the roads suck. I figured the BC N+ would be the best choice between street and track. I do want to get into auto-x, but i know modifying the suspension would put me in another class. But the other thing is drag racing on a stock suspension might not net me good 1/4 times.

Eitherway you want the rear end stiffer, prevent squat for drag, and to allow the rear to slide in an autox. You have to determine which is more important though..going straight or being able to turn THen you can decide on a decent balanced setup

The thing is, its going to be hard to balance between strip and auto-x. I enjoy drag racing and I definitely want to get my 1/4 times down a lot. I also want to try auto-x, and if I like that, then i'll really be stuck. I don't feel like going back to stock to enjoy auto-x with the newbies each time, but I think i'll give it a shot before I do upgrade the tires and suspension.

I'm debating on the hytech or comptech stage 2 kit right now. I definitely would like to be boosted, but I feel the s/c would put some extra stress on the engine, even during idle. I also feel limited with a blower, but then again, a stage 2 might be all I would want. I know its a little off topic, but just thought i'd share as well. The thing preventing me from doing engine work is waiting for k-pro right now.

I bet. Who was the guy you recommended for the auto-x. I would like to have someone with me to help me out and critique me.

Do you think the manifold on the comptech isn't that great? I think I read somewhere where you said cylinder one wasn't getting enough airflow or too much?
